Memorial Day is a three-day weekend so there’s no excuse not to come to Vegas and partake in all of the events and entertainment the city has to offer over the holiday. An exciting new pool club and nightclub are opening at Encore Las Vegas and the fight is on with “UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans” at MGM Grand Garden Arena. No matter what type of fun you’re looking for, Vegas has it.

Surrender, the new nightclub at Encore, opens this weekend with a great lineup of guest artists. Friday, dance the night away with DJ Steve Aoki. On Saturday, see singer, songwriter and producer Ne-Yo live. On Sunday, get crazy with a wacky performance and ultra-smooth beats of LMFAO.
If you need a little entertainment during the day, check out Encore Beach Club, also opening this weekend. The Beach Club features a 60,000-square-foot space with three pools, day beds, cabanas and two-story bungalows. Encore Beach Club is open daily, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Actor Gilles Marini will appear at AZURE pool at the Palazzo. The event marks the launch of Moët Ice Impérial, the first champagne designed to be served on ice. Marini will be at AZURE on Sunday, May 30 at 1 p.m.
Nine Group and the Palms Casino Resort host the 2nd Annual Love Festival on Memorial Day Weekend from Thursday, May 27 through Sunday, May 30.
Weekend highlights include a special performance by Jason Derulo on Saturday and the official 2nd Annual Love Festival lineup on Sunday featuring DJs Keith Evan, Miguel Migs, Armin Van Buuren and more.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) comes to town when Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, former UFC light heavyweight champion and “Suga” Rashad Evans, former UFC light heavyweight champion, go head to head in the “UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans” fight on Saturday, May 29. The fight takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Doors open at 4:15 p.m.
Rain nightclub hosts a Down & Derby roller skating disco party Thursday, May 27. Come dressed in your ’70s best, and with your skates, of course. If you need to rent skates, they’re available for $5.
The music and culture from the 1970s will return to downtown Las Vegas this summer as Fremont Street Experience presents the “Summer of the ’70s” festival and free concert series. The 102-day promotion will kick off Memorial Day weekend and run through Labor Day weekend. To open the “Summer of the ’70s,” Fremont Street Experience hosts disco diva Gloria Gaynor on May 29.
If you’re making your vacation stretch a little further, the restaurant industry is rocking out for a good cause, Vegas style. On Wednesday, June 2, Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation takes place at Rain. Taste food from chefs representing restaurants from Wynn Las Vegas, The Palms, Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand. Proceeds benefit local charities. The event is from 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. and tickets start at $75.
There’s no shortage of entertainment to be found in Vegas over Memorial Day. Nathan Burton offers a family-friendly show at the Flamingo. Burton’s show features showgirls, magic tricks and comedy. Show times are 4 p.m. May 27, 28 and 30. Tickets start at $38.57 for adults and $21.57 for children.
Lewis Black brings his unique style of humor to Vegas with performances on May 29 at 10 p.m. and May 30 at 9 p.m. at the Mirage.

Rusted Root performs poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel on May 28. Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa holds concerts at their pool and there’s a full schedule this weekend. George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic will perform May 28, Loverboy on May 29 and OK Go & The Cab on May 30.
