It’s the last weekend before the hit movie “The Hangover” comes out on Blu-ray ™ and DVD and is available for download on Dec. 15. Most people try to avoid hangovers, but this is one night of drinking you’ll want to experience over and over again.
This weekend also marks the last three days of the National Finals Rodeo Dec. 10 – 12 at Thomas & Mack Center. Cowboys and girls can laugh the night away with country comedians including Bill Engvall, Rodney Carrington and Larry the Cable Guy or party until dawn at bars hosting special parties.
If you want to get into the holiday spirit, M Resort is hosting a tree lighting ceremony for the nation’s largest Christmas tree on Dec. 12. Or you can experience the various holiday headliners including iconic music group Twisted Sister in their show “Twisted Christmas” at Las Vegas Hilton and Mannheim Steamroller at the Orleans.

Daisy Dukes in full force at Rockhouse rodeo
Kick up your spurs and get ready for a night of fun at Rockhouse Bar & Nightclub in front of Imperial Palace. The party starts with Short Shorts and Shots on Dec. 10 where the Daisy Dukes dress code is strictly enforced. Cowgirls showing some skin receive complimentary drinks from 10:30 p.m. to midnight. On Dec. 11 and 12 Rockhouse hosts one last rodeo round-up with two-for-one drink specials, domestic bottles and $5 shots from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Stratosphere is going country, yeehaw!
The Back Alley Bar at Stratosphere is going country in honor of the National Finals Rodeo through Dec. 12.
Country and rock band D-Zire will get the party started every night from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Guests who want to test their spurs can take a ride on Back Alley Bar’s mechanical bull.
Tribute artists from the show “American Superstars” at Stratosphere portraying Tim McGraw and Carrie Underwood will keep the party going. There will also be a Rocky McDonald and Beau Hill Professional Bull Riders autograph session on Dec. 12 from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Prepare for a night of vice and sure bets
DJ Vice gets the party started on the dance floor Dec. 11 at Rain Nightclub at Palms. Doors open at 11 p.m.
On Dec. 10 professional poker player Antonio Esfandiari raises the stakes as special guest at Tao Nightclub at Venetian. Doors open at 10 p.m.
Your train is coming in at Pure Nightclub
Grammy Award-winning rock band Train does a special performance of their greatest hits at Pure Nightclub inside Caesars Palace on Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Holiday magic with Dirk Arthur at the Tropicana
Magician Dirk Arthur treats guests to holiday festivities during “Xtreme Magic” at the Tropicana through Dec. 31.
Experience the magic of Christmas with the addition of musical favorites including “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Sleigh Bells Ring” and other classics. The holiday show also features Santa’s helpers, festive costumes and a special guest appearance by Saint Nicholas.

Taking the holidays to new heights
This holiday season M Resort is home to the nation’s tallest Christmas tree, a 109-foot white fir.
On Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. the resort is hosting a free tree lighting ceremony with hot chocolate, carolers and other festivities.
The tree will be located at M Resort’s Villaggio Del Sole Outdoor Entertainment and Events Piazza.
On Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. BOWFIRE Holiday Heartstrings lights up the stage in M Resort’s Grand Ballroom with fiddling, singing and step dancing.

It’s the last three days of the 51st Annual National Finals Rodeo this weekend.
Watch as top contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding compete for prize money totaling $5.5 million at the Thomas & Mack Center Dec. 10 – 12 at 6:45 p.m.
