Relive Old Vegas with ‘The Rat Pack is Back’
Celine’s back! The famed Grammy-winning songstress performs at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Dion goes through fan-favorite classics like “Where Does My Heart Beat Now,” “Because You Loved Me” and “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” as a stunning light and video display designed just for the Colosseum enhances the performance. Her next batch of show dates includes Aug. 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $117.
Take a trip back in time to the golden age of Las Vegas with “The Rat Pack is Back.” During the 1960s, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and Dean Martin ruled Las Vegas as The Rat Pack. Now, lucky fans will see a tribute to The Rack Pack in all its glory at The Crown Theater at The Rio. Shows are daily at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $34.63.
“Absinthe” takes place just outside of Caesars Palace in an unassuming large white tent. Step inside and you’ll find yourself a raunchy, rowdy show that mixes burlesque, specialty acts and outrageous comedy. The R-rated humor in this show isn’t for the faint of heart – but totally makes it one of the best Vegas experiences you can ask for. Show times are Tuesday through Sunday at 8 p.m., with an extra 10 p.m. showing on Tuesdays and Thursday through Saturday.

World-famous comedians lighten the mood
Tim Allen, best known for playing Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor on “Home Improvement,” brings his hilarious stand-up comedy routine to the Venetian Showroom. Tickets start at $85.75 and show times are 9 p.m. Aug. 3 – 4.
Ron White brings his hilarious brand of comedy to The Mirage on Aug. 3 – 4. White is best known for his role in the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry The Cable Guy. White is performing at the Terry Fator Theatre. Show time is 10 p.m. Tickets start at $85.94.
Empire Comedy Club at Paris Las Vegas features headliner Pete Correale on Aug. 2 – 4. Correale is one of Entertainment Weekly’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch” and has appeared on “Late Night with David Letterman” and his own Comedy Central special, “The Things We Do for Love.” Tickets start at $39.99, with show times at 8 p.m. each night.
The new Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club at MGM Grand features Vince Morris and Danny Bevins through Aug 5. Morris is a BET, HBO and “Late Late Show” veteran with his own Comedy Central special with the “unique ability to … go from dirty to squeaky clean, from personal to improvisational, from thought provoking to just downright silly.” Bevins has appeared on “Premium Blend” and HBO and has performed at international comedy competitions and festivals.
From cutting-edge music to a masquerade ball, this weekend has it all
Leeds-born dubstep pioneer Rusko debuts his residency at Rain at the Palms on Friday night. The global sensation is known for his distinct “happy and heavy” sound and for cutting his debut album “O.M.G.!,” on the road, testing tracks on the dance floor night by night. Doors open at 11 p.m.
Rehab, Hard Rock Hotel’s wild Sunday pool party, welcomes hip-hop legend Rev Run and DJ Ruckus on Aug. 5. Rehab throws some of the best daylife parties in town, so this talent is not to be missed.
The Midsummer’s Lingerie Masquerade Party returns to the Palms Pool and Bungalows on Aug. 5. The party kicks off at 9 p.m. Tickets start at $125.00 and include complimentary admission to Moon, Rain and Ghostbar.

Dave and Mahoney’s Beer Bash and Food Truck Fest shows up poolside at the South Point on Aug. 4 from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., bringing beer and sake tasting, a Patron margarita bar, Pool Party Safari, gourmet food trucks, live entertainment and more. Admission is $20 and includes unlimited beer and sake tasting.
