Hop into the Palms for the Miss Playboy Club search
The Playboy Club hosts the Miss Playboy Club model search at 10 p.m. May 31.
The winner will not only be the face of Playboy Club in its June advertising campaign but will also receive $1,000 in cash, a complimentary night’s stay at Palms Casino Resort,a Swedish massage at Drift Spa at Palms Place, dinner for two at Nove Italiano, complimentary table and bottle at Playboy Club and a photo shoot.
Winners will also be featured in the Playboy Club 2010 calendar and have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be included in Playboy magazine.
World Series of Poker opens this weekend
For 40 years, the biggest names in poker have converged on Las Vegas for the annual World Series of Poker, a series of tournaments culminating in the $10,000 buy-in No Limit Texas Hold’em Main Event.
The winner receives a multimillion dollar prize and the coveted title of World Champion of Poker.
The tournament opens this weekend at the Rio and will run through July 15. This weekend’s games include the 40th Annual No Limit Hold’em event on May 28; Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better on May 29 and No Limit Hold’em on May 30.
Hoop Hall Experience a slam dunk on the Strip
Planet Hollywood is home to one of Vegas’ newest attractions, the Hoop Hall Experience (HHX).
The 17,000-square-foot venue is broken into six distinct zones that bring the greatest basketball players,craziest games and most inspiring coaches to life.
One of the highlights includes The Timeline, an engaging arrangement of graphics, text, large cutouts, electronic media, photos and artifacts.
Pep Talks is a multimedia projection that showcases actual sound bytes and dramatized readings, delivering real messages from famous coaches such as John Wooden, Bill Sharman and Lenny Wilkens.
The Greatest Moments Theater has significant artifacts from the Basketball Hall of Fame including the most important pieces with momentous stories to tell. This zone includes a display of every inductee into the Hall of Fame.

Dance the weekend away at a Las Vegas club
Start the weekend by dancing to hip-hop, funk, electro, rock and reggae as DJ Scientific spins at the Lounge at the Palms at 11 p.m. May 29.
Keep the party going downtown as DJ Phat Al spins Top 40, hip-hop and the best of the ’80s at Gold Diggers at the Golden Nugget from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. May 30.
