The Cosmopolitan’s P3 Studio showcases high fashion in Vegas – and you’re the star

Ladies: Remember the fun fashion shows and photo shoots you used to have in your living room? What if we told you that you can revisit those fun childhood memories, but with a little more flair? High fashion flair, that is!

In collaboration with Decades, a vintage and haute consignment retailer in Los Angeles, and Los Angeles-based fashion collective The Style Contingent, The Cosmopolitan’s P3 Studio will feature an interactive style installation from Thursday, Dec. 27 through Sunday, Jan. 6. This is your chance to truly take the spotlight.

The limited engagement will provide a glimpse into the world of fashion and celebrity styling not yet available to the masses. Emma Trask, creative director and celebrity stylist at The Style Contingent, will outfit you with the latest and most avant-garde fashions. A fashion photographer will snap your picture and you’ll leave with a complimentary memento of the shoot. How’s that for glamorous?

You’ll also learn tips on how to bring the high-fashion editorial look into real life. Or for a fee, you can book  private style consultations with Trask and other celebrity stylists outside of the regular exhibit hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. by calling (702) 308-7038.

For the second part of this installation, Decades offers a collection of neo-vintage luxury pieces available for sale. These include dresses, handbags, shoes, accessories, skirts and coats.

The Style Contingent and Decades’ residency will be open to the public daily with the exception of Wednesday, Jan. 2. Hours of operation are 4 p.m. to midnight. Both men and women ages 21 and older are welcome. You’ll only be responsible for your own hair and makeup. For hair and  makeup tips, click here.

Most folks take their Vegas jackpot winnings back home, but my dad decided to stay here instead. That’s how I left Seattle almost 20 years ago. I moved from greenery and rainy days to hot summers, palm trees and desert. As much as I love my hometown, I decided to stick around Vegas. This city just has so much to offer. You don’t even have to be a gambler, bar hopper or an all-night partier. I love Vegas for its awesome vegan-friendly spots, concerts, swanky hotel suites and spas so big, they’re like castles. The pool scene is not too shabby either, which is why I love taking stay-cations. Besides living it up -- Vegas style -- I’m hanging out with my handsome hubby, adorable baby girl, two cats and super-fluffy Shih-Tzu. I’m also a huge fan of '90s music, shows and movies. You can find me on Google+ and Twitter.
