If you’re single*, Valentine’s Day can feel like anything from just another regular day to an annoying reminder of being single.
Worry not, as there’s plenty going on for single people in Las Vegas. Regardless of which category you fall into, there will be something to motivate you to get out on the Valentine’s weekend.
If you’re the type who’s determined to meet somebody, mixer events are designed just for that and would be right up your alley.
Minus5 Ice Bar at the Monte Carlo hosts its Ice Dating singles night on Feb. 10 for anyone hoping to “break the ice” and meet a special someone.
“We don’t feel that Valentine’s Day should only be enjoyed by people in relationships so this is our way of celebrating being single, in a very Vegas way,” said Noel Bowman, Director of Operations for Minus5. “This event will be a great opportunity for guests to break the ice and possibly spark something that eventually leads to a date on February 14th.”
Guests can enter a mini-golf contest for a chance to win prizes, including a date for two on Valentine’s Day. Admission is $15 per person or guests can bring a friend and get a “2-for-1” deal.
If you can’t make it, The Silverton hosts the Stupid Cupid singles mixer on Feb. 11, which includes speed dating, beer pong, a live DJ and karaoke. If you participate in the speed dating part, you also get free cocktails! Admission runs $5 with a Silverton Rewards Club card and $10 without.
Silverton is also hosting the Senior Singles Mix & Mingle event on Valentine’s Day, where guests can enjoy live band music, dancing, one free drink, and enter to win a diamond cocktail ring valued at $1,000. General admission is $5, or free with Rewards Club card.
If you don’t get into the whole Valentine mixers thing, but still want to go out for a drink, dancing, or both, there are a number of options in Vegas. Who knows, you might just run into that special someone who can be your Valentine!

Public House at The Venetian is serving up their spin on Bloody Mary in time for Valentine’s Day, the “Bitter Hottie.”
“With the ‘Bitter Hottie,’ we go a step further by merging our beer and cocktail programs for a delicious twist on the classic Bloody Mary,” said Public House owner Billy Richardson. The cocktail includes Sriracha sauce, lime and IPA presented in a tulip glass.
If you’re done at the bar — or clubs are simply more your scene — Lavo (at the Palazzo) is a good bet, with Lupe Fiasco and Sky Gellatly spinning on Valentine’s Day. They’ll be sure to pull in a big crowd.
Over at RPM at the Tropicana, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is the special guest along with his brother Marc “The Man” Sorrentino. They’ll celebrating Marc’s birthday and “The Man” will be performing a guest DJ set. And don’t forget, XS (at Encore) always lives up to its name and Moon Nightclub’s Fancy Sauce (at the Palms) might just be the place to meet your new Valentine.
And if that still doesn’t motivate you to get out on Valentine’s Day, there’s always time to plan a girl’s night out/guy’s night out at Chippendales, Sapphire, Crazy Horse III and a plethora of other strip clubs. How’s that for motivation?
