Reliquary brings a modern twist to spas

Spa trips are either spent in solitude or with a group of girlfriends, but the new Reliquary Spa at the Hard Rock transforms your typical spa experience completely.

Reliquary Spa embraced the idea of a Roman bathhouse. In ancient Rome, this area was considered the place to socialize and mingle. And since Hard Rock knows how to party, I found it clever how the hotel incorporated a way to party in a spa – all while keeping it relaxing.

The co-ed Roman bathhouse is the perfect place to take all your friends. All you have to do is bring your bathing suit and have a good time. There’s plenty of room to take a dip in the sparkling pool. Or, you can take a cat nap (or admire the view of the area’s Roman-inspired architecture) along the seating areas around the pool.

If you want to schedule something exclusive, the folks at the spa can even arrange a DJ to spin at your own private function. The bathhouse can hold up to 50 of your friends. To me, this is the ultimate Vegas party.

Another unique feature about this spa is the pole fitness studio located right inside the facility.  Not too many people can say they learned the art of pole dancing while taking a trip to the spa.

And while you’re here, take time to have a service or two. During my visit, I got to experience a facial specifically designed to soothe sensitive skin. I wanted to try something that wasn’t going to aggravate my rosy-red cheeks. Not only did I get to enjoy a cooling masque and a neck and shoulder massage with the service, but I left with my skin glowing and looking silky smooth.

From the Roman bathhouse to the pole dancing room, Reliquary Spa at the Hard Rock has all the elements of a party, but doesn’t skip out on exceptional spa service. Who says you can’t have both?

Most folks take their Vegas jackpot winnings back home, but my dad decided to stay here instead. That’s how I left Seattle almost 20 years ago. I moved from greenery and rainy days to hot summers, palm trees and desert. As much as I love my hometown, I decided to stick around Vegas. This city just has so much to offer. You don’t even have to be a gambler, bar hopper or an all-night partier. I love Vegas for its awesome vegan-friendly spots, concerts, swanky hotel suites and spas so big, they’re like castles. The pool scene is not too shabby either, which is why I love taking stay-cations. Besides living it up -- Vegas style -- I’m hanging out with my handsome hubby, adorable baby girl, two cats and super-fluffy Shih-Tzu. I’m also a huge fan of '90s music, shows and movies.
