We’ve talked about whiskey before (see: Where to wet your whistle with whiskey in Las Vegas). And we’re pretty sure it’ll come up again in the future. It’s one of those spirits that haunts us in the best of ways. Vegas has some of the finest spots in the world to sample rare and expensive whiskeys, and a truly luscious amount of venues to just hammer back some $14 glasses. But for the connoisseur, the enthusiast or just the dedicated supporter of the performing arts, the 2014 Las Vegas Whiskey Affair brings exceptional whiskey and other fine spirits, along with the opportunity to raise money, to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.
General admission ticket holders will be treated to samplings of a variety of whiskeys and spirits, as well as food, a cigar balcony, live music and just-for-fun gambling – the money stays with The Smith Center to help fund their inspiring programs and performances. For the VIP experience, VIP ticket holders will gain early entry along with access to a special VIP Lounge offering high-end whiskey and spirits that those lowly general admission entries can only dream about.
Throughout the seasons, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts brings outstanding performances to Downtown Las Vegas. From the Broadway Las Vegas Series to the Nevada Ballet Theatre, Las Vegas Philharmonic and much more, The Smith Center is where arts culture meets desert chic in the valley; and it’s one of the most alluring places in Vegas to sip some whiskey, listen to live music and watch superb performers.
The inaugural Las Vegas Whiskey Affair will be held:
