Suzanne Somers adds some sizzle to Sin City

You may know her best from television classics such as “Three’s Company” and “Step by Step” or perhaps you’ve had her between your legs at some point… um, her Thighmaster exercise device that is (which, for what we think could be special motivational purposes, is now made in a vibrating version). But regardless of how you knew her then, get ready to see her now as she brings her cabaret show “Suzanne Sizzles” to the Westgate Resort and Casino.

Setting the performance apart from other Vegas acts are Somers’ plans to give audiences the experience of a cool, sexy return to the heyday of the Rat Pack and the Great American Songbook with her engaging one-woman cabaret act.

“It’s not a scripted show,” Somers said in an interview with insiders. “My style is not to have a comedy writer write jokes… I really like just talking to an audience and just talking off-the-cuff and it’s the audience that feeds me and I get a sense of what they want from me. So I am just looking forward to having the freedom every night to go with the flow. I’ve so missed it.”

Having most recently appeared as a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars,” the seasoned performer will connect with her audiences by way of song, dance and storytelling in the Westgate’s intimate 300-seat cabaret venue, which has been newly named Suzanne’s.

Great for an intimate date night or just a fun evening out on the town, Somers’ new Las Vegas residency is set to open on May 23 with a year’s worth of performances scheduled so far. For an evening filled with the sound, glamour, and luxury of Vegas’ good ol’ days, grab a cocktail and a date and get ready to be entertained.

Trading one desert for another, I moved to Las Vegas from Arizona nearly three years ago. It was something about the sparkling lights and the all-encompassing entertainment factor that persuaded me to swap cacti for casinos and dry heat for well…even drier heat. And while I do love a good show, I will always keep true to my country girl ways seeing that I am an absolute sucker for a good country concert and will always indulge the opportunity to go out country dancing! But in a city that undoubtedly has some of the world’s best cuisine, a wild assortment of endless experiences, and of course phenomenal shows, Vegas certainly has that unparalleled good time vibe that can make a city slicker out of just about anyone… including myself!
