Olivia Newton-John opening ‘Summer Nights’ residency in Vegas

Grammy award-winning artist Olivia Newton-John is opening her “Summer Nights” residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas this spring.

Newton-John, perhaps known best for her co-starring role with John Travolta in “Grease,” is slated to perform in the Donny & Marie Showroom from April 8 to Aug. 30, 2014.

The show is expected to feature an eight-piece band, placing an emphasis on Newton-John’s four decade career as a singer, songwriter, actress and philanthropist. Songs to be performed include “Have You Never Been Mellow,” “Let Me Be There,” “If You Love Me Let Me Know,” “I Honestly Love You,” “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “You’re the One That I Want,” “Summer Nights” and “Physical.”

During her career, she has racked up four Grammys, several Country Music, American Music, Billboard and People’s Choice awards, an Emmy and 10 No. 1 hits.

In a statement, Newton-John said every ticket sold will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Center in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia.

“I am thrilled to be able to call Las Vegas home for a while,” she said in the statement. “I have performed here many times through the years and have had nothing but wonderful memories and I look forward to even more fun at the Flamingo.”

Tickets go on sale Feb. 7 and start at $69.
