Lipshtick Comedy Series brings perfect shade of stand-up to Las Vegas

The Lipshtick Comedy Series is bringing in a top line of comediennes to the Venetian in Las Vegas.

So far, 14 funny gals have been announced, including “2 Broke Girls” creator Whitney Cummings, who announced the comedy series May 15, the “queen of mean” Lisa Lampanelli and the ever-glamorous Rita Rudner.

More comediennes are expected to be announced at a later date.

“While the industry has concentrated on male comedy acts, the Venetian has a longstanding history of featuring outstanding female comediennes,” said John Caparella, president and chief operating officer of the Venetian. “Our success with comedic legends like Rita Rudner and Joan Rivers have proven that ‘girls rule’ when it comes to comedy.  Further, we believe that female-driven comedy is now as popular as ever.”

Aces of Comedy at the Mirage is another comedy series that draws in high-profile comedians, such as Kathy GriffinNick Swardson and Ron White.
