The new year means a new venue for Australia’s Human Nature in Vegas. The vocal group, which consists of Toby Allen, Phil Burton, Andrew Tierney and Michael Tierney, previously headlined at The Quad Resort & Casino (formerly the Imperial Palace). Beginning Jan. 19, 2013, the guys from Down Under will have a new home at the Venetian with their newly named show “Smokey Robinson Presents Human Nature: The Motown Show.”
“We are incredibly proud to be bringing our show to one of the most iconic casinos anywhere,” said Tierney. “The support we have had in this city has been extraordinary, and we can’t wait to get more and more people dancing and singing every night with our versions of the most amazing music ever produced – Motown!”
Human Nature debuted on the Las Vegas Strip in 2009 and became one of the must-see acts in town. Their show ran at The Quad into November 2012. It featured the group performing Motown’s biggest hit songs, including “Reach Out I’ll Be There,” “Baby I Need Your Loving” and “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.” Their dynamic harmonies are the perfect fit for emulating the singing style made famous by bands like The Temptations and The Four Tops.
Before headlining in the Entertainment Capital of the World, the group was already a singing sensation in Australia. They’ve released nine albums, five of which went to No. 1 on their native continent, selling millions of records world-wide and garnering 23 Platinum Awards in Australia, 70 Top 40 hits and five Top 10 hits.
Their chart-topping Motown tribute album, “Reach Out,” went five-times-platinum, attracting the attention of famed songwriter Smokey Robinson, who recorded “Get Ready” with them. After being impressed by the group’s soulful harmonies, Robinson was inspired to help them present their own Motown show in Vegas.
When Human Nature opens at the Venetian it will be the group’s 777th show on the Strip.
