Channing Tatum bringing a live version of Magic Mike to Vegas

Millions of women everywhere suddenly cried out in joy Wednesday with the announcement that Vegas will be the home of a real life Magic Mike Live show / club.

Channing Tatum took to Facebook Live to announce the new show opening in March 2017 at the Hard Rock Hotel. He also released an announcement video sure to get hearts thumping. #puppies #shirtlessdudes

“‘Magic Mike’ has been a special and very personal project for me, and this show is a natural extension of that,” Tatum said. “So while I won’t be on stage as Mike, “Magic Mike Live Las Vegas” is my vision and I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time in Las Vegas creating something that will give women what they really want.”

We’re still hoping that Tatum will stop by every once in a while for a few guest dances on the show. Please, pretty please.

The show will recreate Club Domina from “Magic Mike XXL” in the old space occupied by Body English nightclub complete with a 360-degree dance and acrobatic strip tease. When you enter into the cabaret-style club you’ll find three bars, and integrated stage and seating for 450.

Everything is being modeled after Tatum’s hit movies – “Magic Mike” and “Magic Mike XXL.” Again, can we strongly suggest guest star appearance. You hear us Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez …

Magic Mike’s crew will be performing above, behind, in front of ( and dare we say below) the audience with the sexy acrobatic dance and strip routines the movies were known for. The show¬†promises an immersive, first-class entertainment experience. Or as Tatum says in the video:

“God knows we have enough gentlemen clubs in this world, so let’s start the first gentle ladies club.”

The whole project was conceived and is being directed by Tatum with choreography by Alison Faulk (who did both movies). Free Association, in association with, United Talent Agency, BASE Entertainment and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino are producing the show.

I'm one of a rare breed of folks, a native Las Vegan. That's Las Vegan, not Vegan. Being born in Las Vegas has endowed me with crazy Vegas skills - must be all the exposure to neon. I'm a human casino GPS, celebrity locator (You never know who you'll meet in a casino elevator, right Richard Branson?) and tip calculator. My mom taught me probability and statistics with decommissioned casino dice. When I walk through a hotel, tourists think I work there. Maybe it's my smile, my purposeful walk or my friendly answers. Maybe it's just the black suit. But whatever the reason, Vegas.com gives me the chance to exercise my Vegas super powers every day. Now if I could just predict when Megabucks would hit... You can find me on Google+ and Twitter.
