Schoolhouse RockLas Vegas is getting a dose of sweet-sounding science and melodius math with “Schoolhouse Rock Live.” Based on the Emmy Award-winning 1970s cartoon series, this show is getting audiences on their feet with songs including “I’m Just A Bill,” “Interplanet Janet,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction.”

The idea for the “Schoolhouse Rock” television series came from an advertising executive who realized that his son could remember the words of popular songs on the radio but not his multiplication tables, according to www.schoolhouserocklive.net.

In 1973 “Schoolhouse Rock” debuted on ABC as a Saturday morning cartoon series. It ran for 12 years, teaching viewers of all ages with catchy tunes and informative lyrics. Now, audiences in Vegas can hear those beloved songs performed live.

“Schoolhouse Rock Live” runs on Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Stage Door Theater at Town Square. You can purchase tickets here.
