Wet Your Whistle At The Best Pool Parties in Vegas

Saying Vegas is good at pool parties is like saying Kenny G is just “alright” on the saxophone. Talk about understatement of the year. It’s freakin’ hot here for nine months out of the year, so obvi, we know how to turn up and cool off. And while you can find a pool and sweet tunes basically everywhere, trust us, it won’t be anything like the Vegas pool clubs. So lather up that sun block, grab a drink (preferably one with an umbrella) and let Mr. G –errrr– our top pool parties in Vegas show you how to get down.

Liquid Pool & Lounge
Aria Resort

Intimate by design, Liquid Pool & Lounge is the perfect place to party whether you’re new to the day club scene, aren’t a fan of massive crowds, or let’s be honest, you’re just really really hungover. But don’t be fooled into thinking that “intimate” is the same as “lame.” The brain child of the Hakkasan Group (you know, Omnia, Hakkasan, Jewel), Liquid gives you more of what we love about day clubs (killer sound system, famous DJ’s, etc.) and less of the things we don’t (crowds, ugh, the crowds and those pesky clothes).

Insider tip: Have some Benjamins to throw around? We have three words for you: Champagne Fire Drill. For $1,000 you’ll get 10 bottles of champagne to be sprayed at you by the staff, or if you’re feeling generous, you and your friends can spray them at each other (you can drink it if you want, but if you’re askin’, we’d choose to the latter).

But if you happen to be a bit more, shall we say, fiscally conservative, just wait around until about 2p.m. Usually the staff will surround the pool and give those in the pool a solid dowsing of champagne, too.

Marquee DayClub
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Remember when we said that Vegas is hotter than the Devil’s b-hole for nine months out of the year? Well, Marquee DayClub has you covered during the other three. Marquee gets huge props for slapping a dome over the venue to keep the pool poppin’ when the weather gets a little chilly. So now you can play Marco Polo year-round. Speaking of the venue, Marquee is located smack-dab in the middle of the Strip, giving it an awesome backdrop and one of the most unique Vegas views.

Insider tip: Famous DJs and a ridiculous ambiance not enough for you? Marquee is known for their totally awesome themed parties, like “EDC Week” and “Tropical Vibes Sundays.” They really go all out, but personally, we’re pretty fond of runnin’ around in a hula skirt and sippin’ on drinks that come with tiny umbrellas in them (we weren’t kidding about this). So if you need us, we’ll be in the Grand Cabana. Feel free to join.

Drai’s Beachclub
The Cromwell

We’re not really sure why getting high in Vegas has been getting so much attention lately. Especially because, sitting 11 stories above the Strip, Drai’s Beachclub is already one of the tallest day clubs in town. Parked on the roof of The Cromwell, Drai’s obviously has one of the best views in town. And the word is getting out, they’re the place to go for live music. Everyone who’s anyone has performed at Drai’s. We’re talking Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown, 50 Cent, Future, Method Man and the list goes on and on.

Insider tip: While you’re groovin’ out to some live tunes, let the crowd know you’re ballin’ by droppin’ $3,000 on the Moet Ice Magnum Spray Gun package. It’s exactly what it sounds like: two champagne-filled spray guns for you to do with as you please. Perfer to release your inner pyro? Drai’s can hook it up with the Fire in the Sky Fireworks Package. We Repeat: Fire-F@*#ing-Works! Starting at a cool $20,000 you can literally blow the roof off the place with a personalized fireworks display. And when you’re finished baptizing Vegas by fire(works), you can recharge with 20 bottles of Dom Perignon. Yeah, talk about a one-up.

Rehab Beach Club
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Nothing beats an original, which is why we love Rehab. They started the whole pool party/day club trend way back in 2003 and we couldn’t be more thankful. This iconic venue is massive. You could trek across the Kalahari Desert on a camel faster than you could walk to the other side of Rehab. Ok, maybe that’s a bit of a stretch, but with three different pools, we’re not too far off. Who doesn’t love a giant party palace? And a party palace it is, because Rehab is a live music machine. Kid Ink, DJ Pauly D and Flo Rida are just a few of the hit makers to set up shop under a Rehab cabana.

Insider tip:  Like to gamble, but don’t want to leave the party? Rehab has these sweet swim-up blackjack tables for you to get your game on without having to miss out on any of the festivities. The only question is, where are you gonna tuck your chips?

Wet Republic
MGM Grand

Bikini contests, private whirlpools and world famous DJ’s, oh my! That about sums up Wet Republic. It’s the mecca for day time partiers in Vegas. This place is a monstrous 55,000 square-feet with two saltwater pools, 11 individual pools, 12 VIP bungalows, 10 party cabanas and too many daybeds to count. Talk about options. And being a Hakkasan property, you know the music is going to be legit. Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki, and Tiesto are here so much they probably have a bed in the back to sleep on between sets.

Insider tip: Ever wanted to be a member of the paparazzi? Wet Republic is the perfect training ground. You never know what type of A-Lister’s you’ll run into here. Everyone from Tyson Beckford and Ed Sheeran to Miles Teller and Kim Kardashian-West have been spotted partying here. Keep your eyes peeled and maybe your pic will end up on some gossip site.

Encore Beach Club
Encore at Wynn Las Vegas

Whoever said eloquence and a good ass time aren’t mutually exclusive, clearly hasn’t been to Encore Beach Club. Styled in typical Steve Wynn fashion, this is easily one of the poshest day clubs in town. But, don’t get it twisted, EBC can get rowdy with the best of ‘em. Case in point: the giant stripper pole in the middle of the pool. We suggest leaving it to the professionals or waiting until you’ve had too many drinks to care, but who are we to judge? If music and celebs are your thing, world-famous DJs like David Guetta, Avicci and Major Lazer are here on the reg, just like A-listers Kevin Hart, NFL star Rob Gronkowski and soccer star Neymar Jr.

Insider tip: You can book a cabana anywhere, but Encore has these sweet lily pads that you don’t have to kiss a frog for. They’re literally in the pool, so you have to be cool with being in the splash zone. Since this is a day club and it’s usually a bazillion degrees outside, we don’t think it’ll be an issue.

There you have it, a few of our favorite Vegas pool parties. Now that the sun is done putting the smack down on you, check out our Las Vegas Dining page for some tasty nomz to get you recharged for the evening. Not into the day club scene? It’s cool. Swing by the Las Vegas Hotel Pools page for different places to get your lounge on.

It gets cold in Northern Nevada. Like, Leo in “The Revenant,” type of cold. Maybe that’s a bit of a stretch, but after spending the majority of my life up north, I was ready to kick the crappy weather to the curb and start working on my year-round tan. Initially, my desire to move to Las Vegas solely revolved around the weather, and that’s it. Little did I know what this city truly had to offer. Where else can you pop into a grocery store at 3 a.m. and see a showgirl buying almond milk and kale, or hit the local dry cleaners to catch a Cirque performer dropping off their costume? This town is 24/7 excitement, and I haven’t even mentioned gettin’ down at the hottest nightclub or the questionable decisions you make at sketchy downtown dive bars. Adventure in abundance is why I love Vegas. And it’s usually available where you least expect it.
