How does a club night named after a random line from the movie “Step Brothers” stack up? Very well, if last night is anything to go by.

Moon Nightclub at the Palms debuted their new Industry Night format, Fancy Sauce, last night with deadmau5 protégé Moguai spinning his brand of electronic dance music into the early hours.

“We want to bring out fresh new artists,” said Palms Senior Vice President Jon Gray of the new format. “We wanted to create an energy that that market could enjoy on a Tuesday night.”

Fancy Sauce features confetti cannons, cryo guns, light and visual effects to go along with “fresh Electro and a heaping spoonful of fancy dance,” giving it an even more heavy party atmosphere than many other nights.

“It really is like a [Ghostbar Dayclub] at night, with the top-tier talent we have. A high-energy Electro dance party is really what we really want to create there,” Gray said.

Basically: In with the fun, out with the pretentious atmosphere that sometimes creeps into the nightlife scene.

“We’re not trying to be too-cool-for-school,” said Promotions Director Bronson Olimpieri.  “Jon and I have a lot of fun with what we do and we don’t take ourselves too seriously.”

Gray adds, “We take ourselves seriously during the day in the office, but we’re throwing parties and we want to be accessible,” Gray said. “We want to be accessible to both the highest-end bottle purchaser and the guy who walks in, pays cover and just has a few cocktails.”

Some of the upcoming talent to hit Moon on Tuesdays include: Green Velvet, The Disco Fries, Jack Beats, and Dave Fogg.
