Happiness is a Las Vegas happy hour

You love deals. We love bringing you deals. We also love drinkies and are pretty confident that you’re with us on that. And the only thing better than drinkies in Las Vegas is getting a great deal. And we’ve come full circle. When you think deals, we hope you think happy hour. We also hope your entire time in Vegas is like one big happy hour, but we know you have to do silly things like sleep at some point. So to help you schedule your time, we’ve gathered some of the best happy hours in Las Vegas.

Andre’s Cigar and Cognac Lounge

When: Tuesday –Sunday, 5 – 7 p.m.

  • $5 Select beers including Heineken and Corona
  • $6 Specialty cocktails including a black & stormy and a Manhattan
  • $7 Small plates including grilled French flatbread and warm caponata
  • $7 Fine wines by the glass with selections changing weekly

Andre’s is one of those sophisticated places that makes you feel like you should understand the stock market more than you do. As you dine in the restaurant or relax in the lounge, you expect yourself to be openly discussing whether the S&P 500 will bounce back after recent losses. But then you check out the happy hour menu and remember that you don’t give a single copper cent about high finance. You’re in Vegas to have a good time. So sit back in this posh lounge, enjoy a beer and a cigar, and forget all your worries—unless you actually are one of those people on whom the whole economy rests. Then you should probably slam that beer and get back to work.

Culinary Dropout

When: Monday – Friday, 3 – 6 p.m.

  • $3 Mug beer
  • $4 Well cocktails
  • $6 Food selections including grilled cheese sliders and meatloaf sandwich

We’ve called Culinary Dropout a place for hipsters, and we stand by that. Of course it might be a little too popular for hipsters now. But that’s ok, it’s still a fantastic place that will never get old to us. Their unique styling and delectable tastes keep loads of people coming back. And during their happy hour they make it even more appealing with special deals. If there’s any part of you that isn’t sure about committing to an entire meal/night out at Culinary Dropout, give their happy hour a shot. It’s a great introduction to a place that’s so cool you’ll feel like a young hipster all over again.

We’ve got you covered. Diablo’s Cantina is a party bar and restaurant that’s never hurting for some raucous fun. Whenever you show up you can find a great group of total strangers kicking things up Diablo-style. During their happy hour, things get even crazier with their Wheel of Sin. Forget all those lame wheels that go on your car or some nonsense like that, this wheel is covered in drink specials. When it spins, everyone wins.

The Garage

When: Everyday, 11 a.m – 7 p.m.

  • 2 for 1 on any drink

There’s something about gay bars that causes then to always have the best drink deals. Whatever it is, the Garage really takes the rainbow cake when it comes to happy hours. For most of the day, anybody who walks in gets two drinks for the price of one. They even give you a custom poker chip as a marker. You may be tempted to keep it as a souvenir, until you remember that it’s worth a free drink. But hey, you can always save it and bring it back next time. The Garage is a welcoming and fun auto shop-themed bar that’s open to everyone and always offers a great environment.

Hussong’s Cantina

When: Monday –Thursday, 3 – 6 p.m.

  • Half off selected apps, margaritas, cocktails, draft beers
  • $3 Tacos

We love Hussong’s Cantina for a lot of reasons. They have delicious food including a vegan menu. The portions are huge. And they know tequila like nobody’s business—because it actually is their business. During their happy hour they bundle all the things that make them amazing into a fantastic deal you won’t find anywhere else nearby. It’s the perfect place to swing by for a few drinks and some quick bites as you’re walking through the Mandalay Bay Shoppes, or the place to plan afternoon around when you know you’ll want more than a few drinks. Plus, you know, $3 tacos. Who can pass that up?

Park on Fremont

  • $3 Well Cocktails
  • $4 Select domestic draft beers
  • $5 Select craft draft beers
  • $5 Food selections including garbage fries and mac & cheese balls which are crazy good

Seriously, we’re not even going to say another word about this place until we reiterate just how good the mac & cheese balls are. Try them. They should really just be called amazeballs. But, cheesy goodness aside, Park on Fremont has a lot to offer that won’t go straight to your thighs. The always intriguing bar on Fremont Street has dual happy hours where you can get cheap well drinks and a good deal on a great selection of beers. They also have specialty cocktails that are delightful. This is really the place you want to stop during your day on Fremont Street. Plan around the happy hour or just pop in whenever. And the fried pickles are really good too.

It’s a bit of a local’s joint, but Peppermill is totally worth checking out for anyone who happens to stumble into this crazy town. Going strong on the Las Vegas Strip, Peppermill has a full restaurant and a beautiful lounge with a fireplace and a relaxed yet fun atmosphere. They also really love their happy hour. And if you asked a bunch of locals, a good number of them would tell you this is the place to go. With 50% off your drinks and a cool food menu, Peppermill Lounge gives you a chance to save some dough and kick back in style with a beautiful glimpse at the laidback, less over-the-top side of Vegas.

The Pub at Monte Carlo

When: Monday – Friday, 3 – 6 p.m.

  • $3 off All draft beers
  • $3 – $6 Food and drink specials

The Pub at Monte Carlo doesn’t mess around when it comes to beer. We’ve named it one of the best beer spots in the city and, not to be immodest, we were totally right to do so. They have around 150 different beers on tap, so when we tell you that their happy hour includes $3 off every single one of those, you can tell it’s a big deal. Whether you like a simple Stella or you want to go rogue with an extra IPA, the Pub at Monte Carlo has a long list to choose from and a beer for everyone’s taste—including ciders and fruits for those weird people who don’t like beer. Just don’t take too long deciding. The happy hour only lasts until six.

Bar at STK

When: Monday – Thursday, 5:30 – 7 p.m.

  • $5 Select beers including Heineken and PBR
  • $8 Belvedere vodka cocktails
  • $10 Food menu including beef tartar and baked oysters

The whole Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has a dedicated social hour when many of their establishments offer drink and food deals. We wanted to call that out right away so you can check out some of the other great places while you’re on your way to or from one of our favorites, the Bar at STK. STK is a delicious and modern steakhouse with a beautiful bar in the front. This deal might not seem that special with $5 Heinekens and PBRs, but when you see how lovely the space is and how upscale the restaurant is, you’ll understand why we had to add it. The food is always amazing at STK and the drinks are solid. If you want a place to dress and impress, without spending a fortune, check out the Bar at STK.

Sprinkles Cupcakes at the LINQ Promenade

When: Monday – Friday, 3 – 5 p.m.

  • Buy a regular cupcake and get a free upgrade to a Sprinkles Sundae—that means they add ice cream and it becomes even more delicious.

Who says happy hours have to be alcohol? Well, most people say that. But those people would be wrong. Those people have also probably not eaten a Sprinkles cupcake. If they had they wouldn’t be so grumpy. If it’s happiness you want, it’s hard to top a sweet, sugary confection, but Sprinkles went ahead and did it anyway. Buy a regular cupcake, get ice cream for free. That’s free ice cream. You may be asking why we saved this entry for last, especially when it’s not in the right place alphabetically. The answer is simple: We knew that as soon as we started writing this we’d want a Sprinkles cupcake with free ice cream and we’d be compelled to go get one and we wouldn’t be able to focus on anything else. So that’s where we’re going right now. It’s going to be so good.

I came from a little town in the Midwest. And believe me, I’m never going back. It’s probably nice if you love grass and snow; but I love the lights, the glamour, and the flocks of tourists seeking fun and fortune. Once the sun goes down, I’ll be the first one out hitting the clubs or just wandering the Strip for a little nighttime adventure. Passing through Bond on my way to Lily Bar, or taking a shortcut through Double Helix before landing at Parasol Up/Down, I’m the one you’ll randomly bump into – only sometimes literally – strolling through Sin City’s liquored veins – and loving every minute of it.
