Barbie turned 50 this year (Girl, you don’t look a day over 21!) and to celebrate she’s taking a trip to Las Vegas.
The iconic blonde is stopping by the Palms Las Vegas to enjoy her own specialty suite. Designed by Jonathan Adler, who also designed Barbie’s iconic mansion in Malibu, the 2,350-square-foot Barbie suite features:
- Skirted, corseted, lace-up dress chairs
- Sunburst mirror made from 65 reproduction 1959 Barbie® dolls
- Several pieces from the Barbie Loves Jonathan Adler™ home décor collection
- Custom wall coverings and one-of-a kind artwork
- Extra-large spa tub
- Two-way fireplace
The best part of the Barbie Suite — You can stay in it. The suite, located on the 26th floor of the Palms Fantasy Tower, replaces the Hot Pink Suite for the next year and can be reserved for $4,000 per night.
“This suite is great for girls of all ages,” said Stephanie Cota, senior vice president of marketing for Barbie. “Moms and daughters, bachelorettes –anyone with an affinity for Barbie will be at home in this suite.”
Barbie enthusiasts can also create the Barbie dream house in their own home. Just about all the décor found in the suite can be purchased, right down to the wallpaper.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Palms on this,” added Cota. “The Palms is a space known for fantasy, glitz and glamour — all the things Barbie loves.”
While the Barbie Suite has more than enough pink frills to keep Barbie occupied during her stay in Las Vegas, she may also feel at home among other busty bombshells at Moon and Playboy Club atop the Fantasy Tower or in her neighboring Fantasy Tower suite, the Hugh Hefner Sky Villa. Perhaps a Playboy Bunny Barbie is in the future?!
