Where to find Halloween treats in Vegas
It might not be socially acceptable to go trick or treating considering you’re old enough to be partying in Las Vegas for Halloween, but hey – you can at least still buy yourself some candy while you’re here.
Vegas has some amazing places where it’s perfectly OK for adults to indulge in Halloween sweet treats. Here’s where we’ll be satisfying our holiday sugar cravings.
Jean Philippe Pâtisserie at Bellagio
If you need a chocolate fix for Halloween, head to Jean Philippe. After all, this is the place with the world’s largest chocolate fountain.
For Halloween you’ll find things like chocolate skulls, chocolate pumpkins and chocolate witches. You get the idea. This is a chocoholic’s dream. The shop always does an amazing chocolate sculpture during holidays so check out the Halloween sculpture on display. Jean Philippe also has a location at Aria.
M&M’s World at Showcase Mall
M&Ms were always a good thing to score when you were trick or treating as a kid and now you can get your fill of every variety imaginable at M&M’s World. Visit the Rainbow Wall, which offers M&Ms in every color you can think of. Pick out a bag of orange ones to be really Halloween-y or just pick your favorite. Afterwards you can buy a cool new M&M’s dispenser or an M&Ms T-shirt.
Ghirardelli Chocolate at The LINQ Promenade
If you’re looking for something in the ubiquitous pumpkin spice flavor, head to Ghirardelli for their pumpkin spice caramel squares. They have other nice gift sets for Halloween including a pumpkin gift tin and a plush pumpkin bag filled with an assortment of chocolates.
Sprinkles at The LINQ Promenade
Caramel apple fans can get their fix with the Sprinkles caramel apple cupcake. It’s a spiced apple cake with Granny Smith apples and a buttery caramel cream cheese frosting. Sprinkles also has a special Boo Box of cupcakes. The box includes vanilla milk chocolate, red velvet, black and white, and caramel apple cupcakes. Grab a half dozen for $22.50 or a dozen for $42.
TREVI Italian Restaurant at The Forum Shops at Caesars
TREVI is celebrating the Halloween season with a pair of holiday-themed gelato dishes available through Oct. 31. The Candy Corn Gelato is made with creamy vanilla gelato swirled with crushed candy corn pieces and the Cookies & Cringe is a tasteful twist of chocolate gelato, Oreo cookie chunks and gummy worms. The gelato starts at $4.50 per scoop.
Hexx Chocolate & Confexxions at Paris Las Vegas
Want to watch your chocolate being made right in front of your eyes? HEXX offers a unique bean-to-bar experience at their shop. They use just two ingredients — cacao beans and organic palm sugar — to make their chocolate. The beans come from farms located 20 degrees north and south of the equator and are transformed into chocolate showcasing the flavors of Peru, Tanzania, Venezuela, Ecuador and Madagascar. Not only can you taste the chocolate, you can buy it, along with other candies and gifts in the shop. You’ll find a cool selection of favorite candies as well as retro candy and Ethel M truffles.
Ethel M Chocolate Factory, 2 Cactus Garden Dr. Henderson
Speaking of Ethel M, if you want to try some more locally-made chocolate, head out to Henderson and Ethel M Chocolate Factory. Forrest Mars Sr. opened the factory in 1981 and the brand was named for his mother who made chocolates from scratch. You can watch the chocolate making process through the factory’s windows and then grab a sample in the retail shop. Once you have a sample, you’ll probably want to buy a box or two of the sweet stuff. The store is filled with white chocolate, dark chocolate and milk chocolate with fillings like fruit, caramel or nuts. The gift shop includes M&M’s chocolates and souvenir items. You’ll also want to be sure to visit the cactus garden outside.
