Part II: Pizza Is A Vegetable Too. Tips on how to eat healthy in Vegas

You already know, abs are made in the kitchen, so let’s meal prep for your Vegas vacay. We’re going to give you the top places to go all over the Strip so you can stick to your routine but still bring along your friends. Their meals might look more indulgent, but yours will taste fresher and you’ll feel the need to conquer the world after. *Cut to supervillain theme song* Here’s all you need to know when it comes to making and flaunting those abs.

Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so kick start that metabolism at Della’s Kitchen inside of the Delano. Their menu is filled with fresh veggies and tons of gluten free options. Scarf down the quinoa cereal or the organic berries. If you’re feeling a little adventurous and don’t mind a few more carbs, go with the classic breakfast burrito. It still has a whole wheat tortilla with loads of veggies.

Lunch

Hallelujah, for lunch. Time to bring out the drool-inducing food that you’d never guess is healthy. Canyon Ranch Grill in the Palazzo is one of the best options on The Strip. Half spa, half foodie heaven. After scarfing down, treat yo’self by getting a rub down, we promise you won’t regret it.

Snack Time

If you’re anything like us, a snack before dinner is always needed. The Snickers commercial got it right, you’re not yourself when you’re hangry. So head on down to the Juice Standard at the Cosmopolitan. They have treats that will hit the spot without overdoing it. Whether you pick between a healthy juice or a light acai bowl, you’re in the clear.

Dinner

Dun-dun-dun-dah. Cue the trumpets and open the grand ballroom doors. You have arrived at dinner and you bet your booty you’ll ascend up to heaven’s gates after the food coma you’re about to go into. Estiatorio Milos at The Cosmopolitan is serving up the freshest catch. Walk over to their fish bar and take a whiff, it smells way better than a fish market in Seattle. Put your napkin on your lap and dig in. Unfortunately, there’s no time to hit the sack with a food coma because it’s time to party.

Late Night Bites

Drinking and drunchies are a pair that is inevitable. Lucky for us, this city is open twenty fo’ seven and there are more options than fast food. El Dorado Cantina, located next to Sapphires Gentleman Club, serves only the freshest of foods and most of the items on the menu are organic. So after you throw a few dolla bills at some girls, it’s time to conquer your drunchies with authentic Mexican food.

Now that you’re fueled up, check out where to throw back healthy drinks and where to werk them off below.

I’m sexy, I’m cute, I’m popular to boot…oh wait, this isn’t the intro to Bring It On. Hi, my name is Shaun and I’m a walking ‘90s cliché. Born and raised in Vegas, I’ve seen more casino implosions than most. You could call me an O.G. Vegas native because I’ve been here longer than Celine Dion (and that’s long). The ever changing scene keeps me on my toes and I’m always looking for those hole-in-the-wall experiences most veteran visitors don’t have till their 10th trip. If this were a superhero movie, I’d be the perfect sidekick during your Vegas vacay – you brought your tights, right? Let’s conquer this city, who’s with me?
