Open daily from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is fun for all ages. Located at Mount Charleston’s Lee Canyon area, the resort offers trails fit for all levels. There are 40 acres of ski terrain (with the longest trail at 3,000 feet) and 30 acres of snowboarding terrain. Snowboarding is really popular at Lee Canyon. Adventurous types can check out the Darkside Terrain Parks, which offer table-top jumps and assorted rails.
Don’t worry about hauling all of your gear to Vegas — rentals are available. Snowboard and boot rental for one day is only $35. And if you worked up an appetite, there is a café located at the base lodge.
If you’re coming from the Strip, take the I-15 freeway to US 95, heading north. Drive approximately 30 miles to Highway 156 (Lee Canyon). Stay on this road 17 miles to the resort.
