If you’re headed to Vegas in pursuit of an adrenaline rush, you’ve made a wise choice. From roller coasters and zip lines to race cars and free falls, Las Vegas is a thrill seekers’ paradise. The remainder of 2013 promises to bring even more exciting attractions to the Las Vegas skyline. Here are five thrill rides that are coming soon:
1. SlotZilla – Mid-Summer 2013
Within the next month, you’ll be able to zip and zoom across the Fremont Street Experience and land in an enormous slot machine. Yes, really.
2. Skyline Zip Ride – End of Summer 2013
At summer’s end, you can ride this zip ride between the two Rio hotel towers with 360-degree open-air views of the Strip from 400 feet in the air.
3. El Loco Roller Coaster at the Adventuredome – December 2013
Just in time for 2014, dive backwards at negative 1.5 vertical Gs, zip through a 45-degree outwardly banked turn and a 180-degree turn that drops over the edge into a barrel roll on this new Vegas roller coaster.
4. The High Roller at the Linq – Late 2013
As the tallest observation wheel in the world at 550 feet, The High Roller will be the centerpiece of the Linq, a 200,000-square-foot retail and entertainment district between the Flamingo, Harrah’s and the Quad.
5. Polercoaster – No date yet
Polercoaster Las Vegas is still just a glimmer in the eye of US Thrill Rides LLC, but if approved by the FAA could send you spiraling up and down a 650-foot observation tower at scream-inducing speeds.
