Must dos this weekend in Vegas: Sept. 3 – 6, 2015
Just like the year has four seasons, a week has an ebb and flow similar to that of a roller coaster. Think about it, in most cases, people are always waiting on the weekend just like their anticipation builds climbing an extreme roller coaster. For most people, it’s an uphill battle just to get to the exhilarating weekend rush only to end the ride (so to speak) on Sunday evening and prepare to make that climb again.
Now, don’t get us wrong, we love riding roller coasters over and over… and over again but, we love the weekends even more. And lucky for us, living in Vegas basically gives every single day that good-time Saturday vibe. You can trust that we are pros at conquering the weekends and this time around, we have listed some of the things that you should definitely be doing while you’re here. Oh, and happy Labor Day Weekend! That means Vegas is going to be extra fun in the coming days.
Olivia Newton-John
When: Thursday, Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Flamingo
Ladies and gents, the summer is almost over but we are still loving Olivia Newton-John big time (that was a “Grease” joke FYI). Back in Vegas for a 42-show engagement, this singing sensation is taking the Flamingo stage by storm with five shows every week. Performing a collection of her hits from “Grease” such as “Hopelessly Devoted” and “Summer Nights” as well as other tunes, the Grammy Award-winning singer will share stories about her career, sing alongside her eight-piece band and take audiences on a fun 90-minute musical journey.
Calvin Harris at Omnia
When: Friday, Sept. 4
Where: Caesars Palace
There are tons of DJs performing in Vegas this weekend, but we are giving a shout out to Calvin Harris because he is just, well, awesome. Kicking off the holiday weekend spinning hits at Omnia – Vegas’ newest nightclub – party-goers should expect a night filled with entertainment at every turn. From the state-of-the-art, booming sound system to the one-of-a-kind central chandelier that moves and bobs with the music, a night at Omnia with Calvin Harris could just end up becoming the best night of your life.
LAVO Brunch
When: Saturday Sept. 5, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: Palazzo
We all know that everybody brunches these days (yes, we all love greasy bacon and strong, everything-in-the-kitchen-is-decorating-my-bloody-Mary-type drinks at 10 a.m.) and that is why Lavo brunch at the Palazzo has made it onto our Must Do list. However, our interest was not pinned down with good eats and booze alone. Beginning at 10 a.m. this Saturday gather your crew and sip your was through bottomless mimosas for $30 and enjoy savory eats to satisfy those hangover cravings.
Jason Derulo at Drai’s Beachclub – Nightclub
When: Saturday, Sept. 5
Where: The Cromwell
For those of you concert enthusiasts out there, you’re in luck. This weekend is an epic time for our already awesome music scene and among the many concerts taking place this week, hip-hop/ pop superstar Jason Derulo will be rocking the party at Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell on this Saturday. Performing atop the club’s 65,000-square-foot rooftop, fans will be partying poolside all night long with this rap icon. What is also cool about Drai’s is that guests have one of the best views of the city once they are on the roof. What better way to celebrate your holiday weekend than feeling like you’re on top of the world while rocking out to some of Derulo’s hits like “Talk Dirty?”
Kaskade at Encore Beach Club
When: Sunday, Sept. 6
Where: Encore at Wynn Las Vegas
Parties are not just for the night time. Here in Vegas, we keep the good times going no matter what time it is and one of our favorite ways to spend our days is poolside at the day clubs. Among our favorites is Encore Beach Club at Wynn Las Vegas. Why? Well, simply put, it’s just awesome. A perfect party spot for those who appreciate life’s finer things, this luxurious pool club is made up of high-end cabanas and a three-tiered pool. Now, if this isn’t enough, add in a celebrity DJ to get the jams going and this really is a little slice of Vegas heaven.
