Must dos this weekend in Vegas: March 26 – 28, 2015

Cheers to the freakin’ weekend! We will definitely drink to that and raise our liquor-filled solo cups to another action-packed Vegas bender that is just days away. What’s that you say? You don’t know what you’re going to do to make sure your Vegas trip is well spent? Well, if you’re anything like most Vegas-goers, your alcohol-blurred memory probably won’t be able to differentiate if you actually had a good time or not but to be honest, you kind of have to try to successfully have a bad time in the Entertainment Capital of the World. But just to be sure, we have listed some surefire ways for you to have fun so that when you’re flipping through iPhone selfies on the plane ride home (assuming that you didn’t decide to move to here because you fell in love with the flashing lights and bottomless… mimosas), you’ll know that at least one of your days in Sin City was definitely one for the books.

Pool Parties

Spring is here and that means the pool clubs are open. Much more than just a cool place to take a dip, Las Vegas pool parties are the adult equivalent of playing in the sprinklers as a kid… plus a DJ, plus hundreds of barely-clothed people… plus alcohol. It is fun and you should definitely check one of these epic daytime playtime parties this weekend. And while you really can’t go wrong with any of the day clubs on the Strip, some of our favorite places to party poolside include Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Tao Beach at the Venetian, Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay and Drai’s Beach Club at The Cromwell.

Yes, size matters.

Monster Jam World Finals March 26 – 28

Coming in hot, the Monster Jam World Finals are in full gear this weekend at Sam Boyd Stadium. Twenty five of these real life Hot Wheels and their real bad-ass drivers will be kicking up dirt as they fly across the track for the racing and freestyle world champion titles. Before and after the show packed with breathtaking stunts by the world’s most popular Monster Jam trucks, don’t miss out on your chance to meet the drivers during the pre-show Party in the Pits and during the post-show autograph session.

With 350 performances each year, the Monster Jam World Finals is your chance to witness two Monster Jam drivers and their crews leave Las Vegas with the massive bragging rights that will come along with their new world champion titles.

The Jersey Boys pondering another epic Vegas weekend.

Jersey Boys

Like your entertainment with a little less dirt? Check out “Jersey Boys” – a show with a lot of fresh takes on old classics. Playing at Paris Las Vegas on the Strip, “Jersey Boys” tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and how this unlikely group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. Still need more convincing? Indulge in a signature “Sherry Baby” cocktail and let the booze set the mood for a low key evening of solid Las Vegas entertainment.

Searsucker Grand Opening Friday, March 27

Celebrity chef Brian Malarkey has brought his West Coast foodie flair to Las Vegas Boulevard and will be introducing it to hungry patrons this Friday. Located in Caesars Palace, Searsucker offers a menu of new American classic cuisine with an emphasis on fresh seafood with plenty of other food options and craft brews as well.

Trading one desert for another, I moved to Las Vegas from Arizona nearly three years ago. It was something about the sparkling lights and the all-encompassing entertainment factor that persuaded me to swap cacti for casinos and dry heat for well…even drier heat. And while I do love a good show, I will always keep true to my country girl ways seeing that I am an absolute sucker for a good country concert and will always indulge the opportunity to go out country dancing! But in a city that undoubtedly has some of the world’s best cuisine, a wild assortment of endless experiences, and of course phenomenal shows, Vegas certainly has that unparalleled good time vibe that can make a city slicker out of just about anyone… including myself!
