The greatest entertainer was The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll and he returns to the stage Aug. 3 with the release of “Elvis on Tour” on Blu-ray™, DVD and digital download. In addition, 460 select movie theaters across the nation will showcase the film tonight at 7 p.m.
In Vegas, Elvis Presley continues to reign supreme. Just last week, Fremont Street Experience held the first-ever Las Vegas preliminary round for the “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist” contest. In addition, the Entertainment Capital of the World features shows like Cirque du Soleil’s “Viva ELVIS.”

Filmed in 1972, this Golden Globe-winning documentary followed Elvis on a 15-city tour in 1972. Now it has been completely restored and remastered in high definition and surround sound. The documentary is considered the last film Presley made before his death in 1977 and features 25 musical numbers including footage from on-stage performances and backstage rehearsals.
Concert performances in the film include “Burning Love,” “Don’t be Cruel,” “Teddy Bear,” “Hound Dog,” “Love Me Tender,” “Suspicious Minds,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Are you Lonesome Tonight” and more. The film also features Elvis’ infamous appearance on the “Ed Sullivan Show” and Presley’s first performance of “Burning Love.”

If you plan on being in town next Thursday and Friday (Aug. 6-7), the Ultimate B-Boy Championship takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. While World Hip Hop Dance Championships showcases an array of dance techniques, UBC dedicates itself strictly to the underground B-Boy/B-Girl culture and showcases break dance competitors from all over the globe. Special guests include the Jabbawockeez and The Gamblerz.
