It’s Friday at 5:01 p.m. and you’re headed to Vegas. You grab your sunscreen, bathing suit, flip-flops and throw them in your weekend bag. The convertible top is down, your iPod is fully loaded and you’re ready to hit the road.

Once you get to Vegas, indulge in a little “you” time. After all, you don’t get to leave your desk that often and Vegas offers the ultimate in decadence. From the long-running glamorous show, “Jubilee!” to the hottest new nightclub opening, it’s all happening this weekend in Vegas.

Shows

With hundreds of different Bob Mackie-designed costumes containing 8,000 miles of sequins and 35-pound headdresses, “Jubilee!” is a show worth seeing. The show takes you back to the glamorous days of the showgirl and is full of dazzle and sparkle. The production’s 85 performers sing, dance and entertain with jovial wit. There are also some more serious acts, including a Samson and Delilah piece and the sinking of the Titanic. “Jubilee!” plays at Bally’s April 14 and April 16 -17 with two shows nightly at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets start at $77.50.

Clubs

Nothing’s more decadent then a little poolside “me” time – except if a cocktail is in your hand and a DJ is playing your favorite beats. Pool clubs give life to your otherwise ordinary pool time so here are the essentials:

Wet Republic opens to the public Saturday, April 16 and kicks things off with a grand opening celebration. Celebrity guest Kim Kardashian will help get the party started at the 53,000-square-foot pool club at MGM Grand.

The Hard Rock Hotel has become synonymous with partying through the years. A good portion of that party takes place at Rehab pool club. Rehab opens this Sunday, April 17 at 10 a.m. Admission starts at $40 for men and $20 for women.

Encore Beach Club makes a splash with its grand opening this season when 14-time Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps hosts for the day. On April 16, guests can party with the athlete and enjoy two stories of gorgeous cabanas, daybeds and lounge chairs. On Sunday, join Grammy Award-winning DJ Afrojack as he takes over for DAYSTAR Sundays at Encore Beach Club.

Moving on to nightclubs, on April 15, party at Chateau in Paris Las Vegas with “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Alexis Bellino. The reality TV star celebrates her anniversary at the French-inspired nightclub. Carmen Electra hosts the following evening on April 16. Electra will be celebrating her birthday.

Join The Bank in Bellagio and Esquire Magazine for their annual “Esquire Big Black Book 2011 Release Party” on April 15. If you’re in style or if you want to be, this party is to celebrate this trendy little book of style.

It’s a busy night on Friday, April 15 as the new Gallery nightclub opens in Planet Hollywood. Special guest Kourtney Kardashian will be hosting the grand opening and it’s also Kardashian’s birthday, so hopefully there will be cake. On Saturday, April 16, CeeLo Green stops by Gallery to perform his hit song “Forget You.”
