You could hold the fate of a famous Las Vegas magician in your hands!

Illusionist Criss Angel will perform the most dangerous demonstration he has ever attempted with a little help from the audience at the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas on Thursday, May 9 at 10 p.m. Angel is filming a segment for his new Spike TV show “Criss Angel BeLIEve” and the public can watch for free.

Angel also stars in a Cirque du Soleil show by the same name at the Luxor.

In this tribute to the Lord Of Illusion Clive Barker, Angel will be chained to a wooden table while six swords hang high above him. One sword will hang directly over his heart. It’s up to the audience to pick the the order in which swords will fall.

Angel’s Spike TV show will launch in October 2013. On this groundbreaking television series, Angel will reveal the creative process beyond the magic and provide unprecedented access into his creative “think tank” where his team brainstorms, debates, designs and executes Angel’s illusions.

Yes, I’m from Las Vegas. But I’d like to clarify a few things: I don’t live in a hotel and I’m not a showgirl. I put my pasties on one nipple at a time, just like everyone else. I’m a regular girl who plunges off the side of ridiculously tall Las Vegas landmarks and writes about it for a living. I also ride roller coasters, hang at the spa, shoot holes in zombies and take art lessons from bottlenose dolphins. You know, normal stuff. My career as a journalist and copywriter has led me out of Vegas and around the world, but the 24/7 normality of Las Vegas sucks me back in every time. Am I oblivious to the plethora of slot machines everywhere I go? Sure. But that’s because I’m distracted by all the pretty lights. Follow me on Google+ and Twitter.
