Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and a lot of lovestruck couples are headed to Las Vegas — the marriage capital of the world. We have hotel chapels, non-hotel chapels,  romantic weddings, outdoor weddings and even themed weddings.

In Vegas there really is a wedding for everyone. The possibilities are as endless as your future spouse’s snoring problem.

February 14 is typically one of the busiest days of the year for Las Vegas wedding chapels, so to accommodate all of the happy couples, the Clark County Marriage License Bureau has extended hours for the holiday. You can find all of the legal information you need to know before tying the knot in Vegas here.

For an extensive list of Las Vegas wedding chapels or to book your wedding, visit our Las Vegas Weddings page.

Still not sure where to start? Here are some Las Vegas Valentine’s Day wedding suggestions:

Restaurants and romance: Get married at Joël Robuchon Restaurant at MGM Grand.

Joël Robuchon Restaurant at MGM Grand is offering  elegant weddings in a setting reminiscent of Paris in the 1930s. The $5,895 package includes limousine transportation to the courthouse to obtain a marriage license, bridal hair styling and makeup at Cristophe Salon, flowers, photos, music, a private gourmet reception and much more.

At SHe by Morton’s, located at The Shops at Crystals, couples can celebrate Valentine’s Day with “SHe Loves Me” steak specials and a wedding in the private dining room. The space is comfortable for 50 to 550 people and contains a stage, full bar and audio/visual capabilities.

Couples looking to light up their love life need look no farther than the Neon Museum. The museum has an all-inclusive package for just $777 including a 30-minute ceremony in the Neon Museum Boneyard, photos, a bottle of Champagne, a pair of wedding cupcakes, souvenir Neon Museum wedding tees and flowers.

If water floats your wedding boat, a Gondola wedding at the Venetian captures the romance of the Venice canals in Vegas. A $1,150 Gondola Luxury package includes exclusive use of a white wedding gondola, personal event planner, all-rose bouquet and matching boutonniere, photos, officiant and a hotel suite discount.

Get hitched under a tunnel of love at Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay with 15 species of sharks serving as witnesses or opt for the hotel’s new Seascape Ballroom, which offers views of the aquatic life through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Not yet engaged? Dive right in with an underwater proposal in the Shark Reef. Perfect for sea lovers, this $100 package includes a guided tour, a diver to present a custom marriage proposal to your significant other and a photographer.

Meanwhile, if you’re single in Vegas on Valentine’s Day, you could always participate in the D Date-a-Thon at The D hotel from 6 to 9 p.m. The Las Vegas hotel will attempt to break the world record for the largest speed-dating event. Who knows? You could meet your perfect match before 9 and still have time to tie the knot before midnight.

Yes, I’m from Las Vegas. But I’d like to clarify a few things: I don’t live in a hotel and I’m not a showgirl. I put my pasties on one nipple at a time, just like everyone else. I’m a regular girl who plunges off the side of ridiculously tall Las Vegas landmarks and writes about it for a living. I also ride roller coasters, hang at hotel spas, shoot zombies in the face and take art lessons from bottlenose dolphins. You know, normal stuff. My career as a journalist and copywriter has led me out of Vegas and around the world, but the 24/7 normality of Vegas sucks me back in every time. Am I oblivious to the plethora of slot machines everywhere I go? Sure. But that’s because I’m distracted by all the pretty lights. Follow me on Google+ and Twitter.
