Where else can you experience all-out movie festivities, roller skating inside a bar and reggae in the desert? Vegas, of course!

This weekend, Sin City is the place to be. We’ve come up with a list of events guaranteed so suit everyone’s taste.

Through June 15, the 11th annual CineVegas Film Festival is sure to heat things up. From indie movie premieres and celebrity spotting to wild, all-night parties, there are plenty of reasons to come join in all the fun.
Barbie at the Palms

The Brenden Theatres at the Palms feature the majority of this year’s indie movies, with genres ranging from drama, comedy, thrillers, documentaries, shorts, Vegas-related flicks and so much more.

If you plan on staying at or visiting Mandalay Bay, catch an outdoor screening of the animation classic, “Yellow Submarine” at Mandalay Beach Saturday, June 13th at 9:30 p.m. CineVegas will also feature “Attack of the 50-Foot Woman” at Fremont Street Experience, Monday, June 15th at 9 p.m.
With so much going on in Vegas, you’ll definitely need to start planning now to make the most of your trip. This is one weekend you won’t want to miss.

Lavo, Rain and Playboy Club among festival party venues

In celebration of the film festival, CineVegas will host parties you don’t want to miss:

June 11: The Jackpot Premieres party will be held at Lavo in the Palazzo. There will also be a party at Sapphire Gentleman’s Club that night.

June 12: Official CineVegas party at Rain in the Palms. Just a short walk from CineVegas headquarters and some of the screenings, there’s no excuse for missing this one.

June 13: Official CineVegas party at Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay. Here’s where holding a festival in Vegas gets great – partying poolside.

Grab some popcorn and dive in to a movie

On top of all the CineVegas movies and festivities, there are so many other events going on this weekend, it’ll make your head spin. In the spirit of movies, you can also enjoy these:

This Friday’s Dive-In Movie at Mandalay Beach is “Role Models.” For just a two-drink minimum per guest, visitors 21 and older can watch this comedy flick while floating in the wave pool or lounging beachside. Gates open at 8 p.m. Showtime begins at 9 p.m.

Inside Planet Hollywood’s Hawaiian Tropic Zone, catch a free movie 10 p.m. every Sunday and Tuesday. See the biggest blockbusters and beloved classics at the bar’s 36-foot tall plasma screen while munching on free popcorn. Guests must be 21 or older.

High socks, short shorts and roller skates

If you’re looking for something more active, get your groove on at Beauty Bar’s Down and Derby’s retro roller skating event Saturday, June 13. The “funk-tastic” party will feature music from DJ Nugget and DJ OB-One. In the spirit of ’70s roller disco, matching ’70s roller disco attire (think high socks and short shorts) is strongly encouraged. Entry fee is $5 with RSVP and $10 at the door. Skate rentals are available for an additional $5. Guests must be 21 and older.

Palms hosts a Sterling Night of Fights on Friday
