Let’s just cut to the chase. Beer is awesome.
As a great icon of American alcoholism Homer J. Simpson once said, “Mmmmmmmmmmm, beer.”
The only thing more awesome than drinking beer is drinking locally crafted beer. Throw in food, music and the exciting ambiance of downtown Las Vegas and you’ve just described the Downtown Brew Festival, an evening of extreme awesomeness (or awesomesauce, as the case may be).
Hosted by Motley Brews, the Second Annual Downtown Brew Festival will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Clark County Amphitheater. Enjoy specialty one-off beers by the Nevada Craft Brewers Association, food by local celebrity chef Christian Dolias of Cutthroat Culinary and music by local indie rock artists Rusty Maples and American Cream.
“With this festival we want to create an experience that captures the energy of the emerging downtown scene and celebrates the craftsmanship and artistry of our local brewers, chefs and bands,” said Lee Flint, event coordinator for Motley Brews. “The night is going to be an awesome display of talent and passion for the craft with a distinctly local vibe, which is exactly what we set out to achieve with this year’s festival.”
Described as an intimate affair, festival organizers expect shorter lines and smaller crowds compared to other Motley Brews events. This is, of course, awesome news for everyone because it means tons more beer to go around!
So let’s all raise our beer mugs for a toast and repeat after Homer: “To alcohol! The cause of, and solution to, all of life’s problems.”
