So, you get to celebrate American Independence Day and get a midweek dose of awesome music? Not bad.

July 4 falls on a Wednesday this year — but just because it falls on the middle of the week, it doesn’t mean that Las Vegas’ nightclubs and pools aren’t ready to help you celebrate Independence Day in style.

A few clubs are opening up just for Independence Day, while others are holding belated July 4-themed parties during their normal operating days.

1 OAK at the Mirage gets ready for Independence Day with a performance by a surprise guest on the night of Tuesday, July 3. They’re keeping hush about who it is, but 1 OAK has pulled in big talent before — so it could be a big surprise!

Ghostbar at the Palms celebrates “Indepen-Dance” with “genre-clashing sounds” by DJ Kid Conrad and M!KEATTACK for this July 4 version of their weekly Snitch party.

Tabú at MGM Grand is only open Thursday through Monday, but they will showcase red, white and blue cocktails throughout the whole month in celebration of Independence Day: Red Julep, White Night and Blue Sparkler.

Lavo at the Palazzo has a hip-hop legend lined up for a very special edition of Old School Wednesday: Rev Run and DJ Ruckus perform Wednesday night. Then, over at Azurethe pool club puts on a poolside barbecue on Saturday and Sunday. DJ Mika Gold plays Friday, with Hed Kandi on Saturday and DJ Roman on Sunday.

Tao Beach at the Venetian hosts a “BBQ & Bikinis” bash with a $5,000 prize going to the lady with the most patriotic bikini.

Haze at Aria feature Dirt Nasty and Beardo on Thursday night for some post-July 4th fun.

At Encore, Dada Life play Encore Beach Club during the day, while Eric Prydz spins at Surrender’s party late into the night. Over at Wynn on Thursday, Damien Le Roy plays Tryst.

How are you celebrating this July 4?

Note: Ludacris was original scheduled for July 4 at Haze, but his appearance has been cancelled.
