This time of year is the worst for my skin. I’m always ashy. This means your skin is visibly dry — think how you’d look after rolling around on a dusty chalkboard.

Luckily, not only does Las Vegas offer moisturizing treatments that lotion can’t fix on its own, but you can also enjoy limited-time holiday treatments as well. What a treat! So if your sweetie pie, best friend or other loved ones are asking what you would like for Christmas, a spa treatment (in Vegas!) would be the ideal treat. And honestly — who can resist candy cane, egg nog or Peppermint Patti treatments?

Reliquary Spa, Hard Rock

candycaneReliquary Water Sanctuary & Spa welcomes the holidays with its unique Candy Cane Ritual. Through Dec. 29, the limited-time treatment puts a seasonal spin on the spa’s Reliquary Ancient Cane Ritual.  During this 50-minute treatment, therapists use peppermint oil to deeply moisturize tired bodies. Drift away to bliss as the ritual continues with the use of bamboo reeds for drumming, tapping and rolling over weary muscles.  The combination of the invigorating peppermint oil and the soothing motions of the bamboo reeds create a perfect balance that relieves the body’s energy flow while working deep within the muscles and trigger points. The Candy Cane Ritual is available for $120 (normally $185).

Spa & Salon Vdara

Can’t get enough of candy cane spa treatments? We don’t blame you. True holiday enthusiasts can feel like a candy cane with Spa & Salon Vdara’s “Add a Twist to the Holidays” specials.

The candy cane scalp treatment can be added to any salon treatment for $35. The peppermint treatment targets and stimulates the scalp leaving you feeling refreshed, awakened and with revitalized hair.

The candy cane mani & pedi is a 90-minute treatment that whisks you into a state of relaxation and leaves your nails and toes looking festive ($110).

Rich in vitamins and moisture-binding ingredients, this seasonal facial (available through Jan. 31, 2012) is the perfect gift for skin this holiday ($120 Monday through Thursday, $180 Friday through Sunday).

Qua’s “Holiday Toddy” Mystic Journey’s body and facial treatment results in pure bliss. Agave nectar oil is applied along the spine followed by a bourbon bubbler body scrub made of sweet brown sugar and bourbon. Warm towels remove the scrub leaving skin refreshed with a silky glow. A moisturizing dollop of peppery caramel body milk lotion is applied before a complete body wrap in a blanket of warm towels. The treatment finishes with a mini scalp treatment and restorative facial designed to stimulate the skin and repair cell damage. This service is available through Jan. 31, 2012 ($300).
