Downtown Las Vegas just got a little greener with the opening of the Downtown FEED (Fremont East Entertainment District) Farmer’s Market. Downtown FEED launched on July 14 and will continue as a weekly event every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The farmer’s market features more than 15 growers and music, providing locals and visitors with a fun atmosphere to buy the area’s freshest produce. The best part is, Downtown FEED is indoors. It’s located in Azul, a yellow free-standing building behind the El Cortez. This event is free and open to the public.
The farmers at Downtown FEED have an assortment of items for sale from fresh produce to organic teas, herbs, coffee and honey. Some of the vendors include: Herbs by Diane, Gilcrease Orchard, UNCE Orchard, McLeod Ranch, Blue Lizard Farm, Colorado River Coffee Roasters, L.A. Specialty, Bloomin’ Desert Herbs, Lincoln Co. NV Producers Co-Op, Sweet Tomato Test Garden and Crossfire Ranch Produce. More vendors will be added at new events.
Free parking for this event can be found in the El Cortez parking garage located across from Azul at Ogden and 7th Street. There are also metered spaces located right in front of Azul.
Downtown Feed was founded by Project Dinner Table, a dinner series that features local growers and purveyors for a one-night-only, multicourse menu served at a table seating 150 guests.
