The Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con will feature the best and brightest in comic book and pop entertainment in a giant exhibitors’ hall and an international artist alley.

Fan favorites making appearances this year include George Perez, the creator of the “New Teen Titans,” “Nightwing,” and “Deathstroke,” and contributer to “Wonder Woman” and the DC Epic “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”

Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld will also appear at the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con. Deadpool is the most popular character in the Marvel Universe with his image gracing the cover of multiple books every month, in addition to carrying his own monthly title, and several other concurrent miniseries. Liefeld also created such popular X-Men mainstays such as Cable, Domino, Shatterstar and X-Force before launching Image Comics.

Comics legend Jim Lee, the executive who leads DC Comics will be making a special one-day appearance on Saturday, June 21. He will be featured on the Main Theatre Stage for a drawing demo at 1 p.m., and will have limited signing sessions for general admission and VIP Members.

Other artists featured at this year’s convention include Michael Cudlitz, Steve Epting, Adam Kubert, Len Wein, Herb Trimpe and more.

The whole family can stop by the South Point on June 22 for Kids’ Day. There will be free sketches, cartoons, video games, costume contests and more. Kids are encouraged to dress up and take part in the costume parade.

For adults who are kids at heart and want to dress up in costume, there’s a Cosplay Lounge where you can put those finishing touches on your costumes, get your makeup on and adjust your head gear before impressing the other fans.

Other highlights of the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con include a giant video game arena where you can play your favorites in a classic arcade-style competition, and panel discussions on topics like breaking into comics, writing comics, comic book art and graphic storytelling.

Tickets for the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con are $25 – $35 for a single day or $60 for a three-day admission. VIP packages are also available.

It’s not that warm in Minnesota. I know this from spending half my life freezing in the northern part of the state. So 20 years ago, I decided to thaw out and traded in scarves and mittens for tank tops and flip-flops (Take that, polar vortex!). I swapped snow for 300 days of sun a year. I may not have been born here, but there are hotels that haven’t lasted in Vegas as long as I have. The Sands, Hacienda, Aladdin, Desert Inn and the Stardust too. I've been to my fair share of implosion parties. (Yeah, that’s a thing.) As a writer for Vegas.com, I've applauded hundreds of shows, explored every major hotel in town and raised a few glasses at most of the city's bars and clubs. Now I'm the resident foodie here. I write about all things dining — from $3.99 shrimp cocktail at the Golden Gate to the finest sushi at Nobu, and everything in between.
