Free country hoedown kicks off National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas

Country music fans get ready for the 27th annual Downtown Hoedown Dec. 4 at the Fremont Street Experience.

The hoedown features free concerts by Rodney Atkins, Joe Diffie, Cole Swindell, Chase Rice and Chris Janson, and ushers in the start of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Dec. 5-14, 2013, in Las Vegas.

The music starts right after the Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s annual FanFest with the top 13 NASCAR Chase drivers beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Fremont Street Experience.

Scheduled performance times and locations are as follows:

  • Joe Diffie – 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the 1st Street Stage
  • Chris Janson – 6:10 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. at the Main Street Stage
  • Chase Rice – 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the 3rd Street Stage
  • Cole Swindell – 8:50 p.m. to 9:50 p.m. at the 1st Street Stage
  • Rodney Atkins – 10:10 p.m. to 11:40 p.m. at the 3rd Street Stage
