A pedicure fit for a princess

Sizzling sun. Night out on the town. These reasons alone call for cute sandals and killer heels. But what good are open-toed shoes without the perfect pedicure?

At Canyon Ranch SpaClub at Palazzo and Venetian, not only can you treat yourself to a divine pedicure treatment, but you get to play the mixologist by choosing the scents of your choice.

According to spa director Blake Feeney, the 50-minute Mixology Pedicure is designed to offer guests a totally customized nail service with organic options. Choose from a selection of certified organic nutrients and essential oils. These include cocoa, honey granules, coconut milk, lavender flower, orange peel, raspberry, orange peel, rose petals and safflower threads.

You’ll never experience a pedicure the same way again: “Guests will not see it the same because they can totally pick and personalize the products that are used to exfoliate and moisturize,” Feeney said.

For those who need help choosing the perfect combination, the spa makes it easy: “We have a chart of recommendations to simplify their choices,” he explained. “It specifies what scents are good for relaxing, soothing, anti-aging and nourishing treatments.”

You may also get a 30-minute manicure that incorporates the same products. Mixology Pedicures start at $120 and manicures start at $90. Prices vary according to day of the week as well as nutrients, oils, scrubs and butters used in mix. To book an appointment, call (702) 414-3600 or (877) 220-2688.

For all you golden goddesses, treat your feet and hands like royalty. It’s summer!

Most folks take their Vegas jackpot winnings back home, but my dad decided to stay here instead. That’s how I left Seattle almost 20 years ago. I moved from greenery and rainy days to hot summers, palm trees and desert. As much as I love my hometown, I decided to stick around Vegas. This city just has so much to offer. You don’t even have to be a gambler, bar hopper or an all-night partier. I love Vegas for its awesome vegan-friendly spots, concerts, swanky hotel suites and spas so big, they’re like castles. The pool scene is not too shabby either, which is why I love taking stay-cations. Besides living it up -- Vegas style -- I’m hanging out with my adorable baby girl, two cats and super-fluffy Shih-Tzu. I’m also a huge fan of '90s music, shows and movies.
