Terry-fatorWith the recent addition of Frank Caliendo to the roster of masterful impressionists in Vegas, there’s practically no area these funny people don’t cover: sportscasters, singers (dead and alive), politicians, athletes, cartoon characters, movie actors and even fellow comedians. Here are some noteworthy examples.

Frank Caliendo, a former cast member of “MADtv,” became well-known for his imitations of John Madden, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. His show  at Monte Carlo features a live band and he cracks jokes both in and out of character.

Terry Fator is a showman puppeteer who imitates well-known singers (including females), such as Etta James and Roy Orbison, and also creates his own characters. Sometimes a surprise guest will appear on stage at the Mirage with Fator to kid around with a puppet and/or sing a duet.

Downtown, you’ll find Gordie Brown at the Golden Nugget doing impressions of a wide range of people, such as Julio Iglesias, MC Hammer, Woody Allen and Clint Eastwood.

Larry G. Jones is known as the man of 1001 voices. His long-standing show at the Royal Resort features many impersonations of artists as disparate as Michael Jackson and Bob Dylan to Bill Clinton and comedian Bill Engvall.

For something quite different try Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas at Imperial Palace. You’ll see impressions of Britney Spears, Cher, Madonna, Dolly Parton, Lady Ga Ga, Whitney Houston and Beyonce. So, what’s the big deal? These ladies are really guys!
