“Kinky Boots,” the Broadway hit about fetish footwear, will have Vegas kicking up its heels when it comes to The Smith Center September 2014.

The show won the 2013 Tony Awards for “Best Musical” and “Best Score.” (It also won for its leading man, choreography, orchestration and sound design.)

A struggling family-owned English shoe factory is pulled out of a funk when Charlie the shoemaker forms a business partnership with Lola — a drag queen with an eye for fashion.

The stage production, based on a true story, is modeled after a 2005 British film, which took inspiration from Harvey Fierstein’s book.

The musical’s lyrics are the work of Cyndi Lauper. (When “Kinky Boots” scored “Best Score,” Lauper became the first woman to win the composing honor solo.)

The show’s 2014 swing through the states will be its first tour.

“We are so excited to take ‘Kinky Boots’ from coast to coast, so that the entire country can share in the joyousness that our audiences on Broadway experience every night,” said Producer Daryl Roth.

“And what a privilege it is to be the first Broadway show to launch a national tour at the beautiful new Smith Center,” added Producer Hal Luftig. “We look forward to an exciting opening night in Las Vegas next September.”
