Spring breakers take over Sin City

Las Vegas doesn’t grab the Spring Break headlines yearly like Ft. Lauderdale, Cancun and New Orleans do, but that’s because Sin City parties like it’s Spring Break all year long.

This year, though, spring breakers were treated to an MTV party at the Palms with the likes of Jason Derulo and Pitbull performing. But the fun didn’t stop when the cameras turned off.

Here’s a list of some of the hottest hotel specials, performances and events going on in Las Vegas no matter if you’re celebrating Spring Break or taking just another excitement-filled trip to the entertainment capital of the world.

Excalibur

Chateau Nightclub

Cost: $30 for men, $20 for ladies
Rapper Flo Rida performs at the newest club on the Las Vegas Strip. Chateau features 45,000 square feet of nightclub and outside beer gardens, all with a view of the Belliago fountains.

Marquee
When: March 25
Cost: Starts at $20
The EC Twins spin inside Tao Group’s newest nightclub. Marquee is the quintessential DJ nightclub with a 40-foot LED screen, elevated DJ platform and gogo dancers.

McFadden’s
When: March 26
Cost: Varies
McFadden’s is cramming a week’s worth of Spring Break activities into one night. Start with a pre-game open bar from 8-10 p.m. for $15 and another open bar from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. for $20 for ladies and $30 for men. Patrons sporting sexy Spring Break attire will get half off their open bar. There will also be a bikini hula hoop contest with the winner taking home $100 in cash.

DAYLIFE

Azure
Cost: $20

The pool club at the Palazzo manages to pull off being both laid back and upbeat at the same time. With French Riviera stylings, Azure packs in the beautiful people and lends itself to Strip views.

Bare
Cost: Women are always free, men start at $20
One of the few European-style pools in Las Vegas, Bare features private cabanas with their own infinity pools and a main pool with two shallow ends ideal for sunbathing.

Ditch Fridays/Palms Pool
Cost: $25
MTV took over the pool at Palms for good reason, the three-pool complex features some of the best pool party DJs daily, not to mention the most interesting cabanas in Vegas.

Encore Beach Club
Cost: Starts at $44
Michael Phelps helps open the pool April 16 when he becomes the first person to swim the pool’s waters in 2011.

Liquid
Cost: Varies
Aria’s pool club packs in all the excitement of the bigger venues into a compact, non-stop party. The crowd is definitely up-beat and likely hasn’t gone to sleep since they arrived in Vegas.

Rehab
Cost: Varies
The wild party that makes headlines every year is back again with the first Rehab of 2011 going off April 17. The debauchery is spread out over the 4.5-acre pool area with stars intermingling with the most beautiful people in the world.

Tao Beach
Cost: $50
The same party you find at Tao Nightclub comes back during the daytime hours to party at Tao Beach. While there is a pool here, the real excitement happens on the dance floor and the cabanas.

VooDoo Beach
Cost: Starts at $65, includes open bar
Located just to the west of the Strip at the Rio, VooDoo brings party-goers to a tropical landscape and flair bartenders. The adult-only pool club goes European on Thursday-Sunday with a European-style sunbathing.

Wet Republic
Cost: Varies
Wet Republic is one of the first pool clubs to open the season and usually one of the last, and there’s a good reason behind that. The club is one wild party from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. daily with events and big-name celebrities on hand regularly.
