Ring in the New Year, Vegas-style

Australia rings in the New Year with fireworks over the Sydney Opera House. New York has the ball drop and a party with a few hundred thousand of your closest friends in Times Square.

But in Las Vegas, the New Year’s Eve party is a star-studded affair with something happening in every corner of the Strip. While you will find it impossible to be at every New Year’s Eve event Las Vegas has to offer, we have compiled a list of the best spots to say goodbye to 2010 and welcome in 2011.

ATTRACTIONS

Strip Fireworks Show
Where:
Las Vegas Strip
When: Midnight Jan. 1
Fireworks will light up the sky at midnight as seven casinos shoot them off their rooftops. The casinos include MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, The Venetian and the Stratosphere.

Tribute Palooza 3
Where:
Fremont Street Experience
When: 6 p.m. Dec. 31
Close out 2010 with a bevy of tribute bands playing under the VivaVision canopy downtown. The bands will pay homage to everything from Sublime to No Doubt and Van Halen to the Rolling Stones and Queen. Then at midnight, the largest LED screen in the world will show a spectacular fireworks show as you ring in the New Year. Tickets are $20 at the gate.

NIGHTCLUBS AND BARS

The Bank

Recording artist Jay Sean puts on a special performance at this lavish nightclub. His hits “Do You Remember,” and “Down,” will help bring in 2011 and the staff at The Bank provide you with a complimentary champagne toast.

Jet Nightclub

Mirage
When: 9 p.m. Dec. 31
Hip-hop superstar B.o.B counts down to the New Year and gives a special performance of his hit songs. To add to the night, Jet will feature an open bar from 9-11 p.m.

Haze
Where: Aria
When: 10 p.m. Dec. 31
Nelly brings his chart-topping hits to the hottest nightclub in CityCenter.

Caramel Bar & Lounge
Where: Bellagio
When: 9 p.m. Dec. 31
Caramel combines the energy and excitement of a nightclub into an exclusive ultra-lounge. Tickets start at $50 per person with a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.

Revolution Lounge
Where: Mirage
When: 9 p.m. Dec. 31
End 2010 in psychedelic fashion with a hosted bar from 9-11 p.m. and VIP admission for $75 per person. And when the clock strikes midnight, the staff at Revolution will wheel out a 12-liter Methuselah of champagne and saber it off for an explosive toast.

The Deuce Lounge

When: 9 p.m. Dec. 31
Playmates take over the Deuce with Stacey Fusion and Lauren Anderson hosting while fellow Playmate Summer Altice jumps on the turntables for a special DJ set. VIP admission and a special midnight champagne toast for $50 per person.

Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge

Head into the New Year at Gold, the club that Elvis would have made his own, with a hosted bar from 9-11 p.m. and VIP admission for $125 per person.

Tao Nightclub

One of the hottest nightclubs in Las Vegas welcomes one of the biggest names in celebrity partiers. Reality TV star Kim Kardashian comes to Tao to host the NYE celebration. Admission is $210 and includes an open bar and passed hors d’oeurves from 9-11 p.m., champagne toast at midnight and entrance to Lavo after midnight.

Lavo Nightclub

Take a break from partying inside this Moroccan-themed hotspot to catch the fireworks overhead on the patio. For $160 a person, guests can enjoy an open bar and passed hors d’oeurves from 9-11 p.m., a champagne toast at midnight and entry into Tao after midnight, where Kim Kardashian will be hosting.

Pure Nightclub

Chart-topping singer Rihanna invites partygoers to pop the cork and ring in 2011 with a special performance.

LAX Nightclub

Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs hosts at LAX, which features Gothic stylings, multiple levels and the ultra-exclusive Noir Bar.

Vanity Nightclub

Rapper/actor Ludacris hosts and counts down to the New Year.

Voodoo Lounge

Ring in the New Year with an amazing view of the Strip fireworks from the 51st floor of the Rio at Voodoo Lounge. Tickets start at $50 per person or an open bar package for $200.

ROK Vegas

Riveting mash-ups and rock-inspired imagery are what you can expect at the NYE party at ROK Vegas. Tickets start at $55 per person or an open bar package for $100.

Rain Nightclub

Iconic DJ and producer Paul Oakenfold takes over the turntables at Rain Nightclub, which combines multiple levels, pyrotechnics and 25,000 square feet into an unforgettable night.

Moon Nightclub
Where: Palms
When: 9 p.m. Dec. 31
Party-rock music group LMFAO brings their club-favorite tracks to the retractable roof Moon Nightclub.

Ghostbar
Where: Palms
When: 8 p.m.
Get a bird’s-eye view of the fireworks show that will take place over the Las Vegas Strip. Ghostbar sits on the 55th floor of the Palms and features a glass inset on the sky deck, giving guests a view of both the Vegas skyline and a look at the ground below their feet.

Playboy Club
Where: Palms
When: 9 p.m.
The sexy ladies of Playboy Magazine will host an eye-pleasing NYE party. The list of Playmates includes Shanna McLaughlin, Kassie Logsdon, Jaime Edmondson, Kimberly Phillips, Jennifer Pershing and Kara Monaco.

Surrender Nightclub
Where: Encore
When: 10 p.m. Dec. 31
Take your NYE party under the stars with a party at Surrender Nightclub. The outdoor heaters will keep the temperature where you want it or you can take things inside to your own private bungalow where you will have a balcony view of the Strip fireworks show. General admission starts at $75.

Blush Nightclub
Where: Wynn Las Vegas
When: 9 p.m. Dec. 31
For an intimate NYE experience, Blush offers a night of dancing underneath a one-of-a-kind crème lantern ceiling-sculpture or a private table on the open-air patio. Admission starts at $50.

XS and Tryst
Where: Wynn Las Vegas
When: 10 p.m. Dec. 31
The indoor/outdoor nightclubs of Tryst and XS will be two of the most sought after venues for NYE. Admission currently is $75 for women and $150 for men and table reservations are highly suggested.

Marquee Nightclub
Where: The Cosmopolitan
When: 9 p.m. Dec. 31
The newest club to hit Las Vegas opens just in time for NYE. International DJ Erick Morillo will take over the turntables and the $300 admission gets you an open bar from 9 – 11 p.m. and a champagne toast at midnight. The Cosmopolitan will also host the invite-only “Viva La Hov,” featuring Jay-Z and Coldplay. There are a limited number of packages available that will give you access to the concert along with a three-night stay at the hotel, among other things, for $5,600.

CatHouse

“Drink Till You Drop,” party with open bar from 8 p.m.-1 a.m., hors d’oeuvres, champagne toast and party favors. Admission is $125 and bottle packages start at $900.

Studio 54

DJ Loczi kicks off his industry night party “Electric Dream.” Advance tickets are $150 or $175 at the door, which includes a premium open bar from 9-11 p.m.

Tabu

Enjoy sophisticated libations and a gorgeous model staff while dancing the night away. Tickets are $100 in advance and $125 at the door and include an open bar from 9-11 p.m.

Cabo Wabo Cantina

When: Doors open at 9 p.m. Dec. 31.
Located on the center of the Strip, Cabo Wabo offers a prime viewing location for the midnight fireworks show. Additionally, the cantina is offering a three-course dinner and midnight champagne or tequila toast for $100 per person. An open bar package is also available from 9 p.m.-midnight for $100 per person.

Rockhouse Bar and Nightclub
Where: Imperial Palace
When: 10 p.m. Dec. 31
Rockhouse presents its “F#@! 2010” New Year’s Eve bash, complete with DJ-spun music, hot girls on the tire swing and an open bar from 10 p.m.-midnight. Packages start at $100.

Rhumbar
Where: Mirage
When: 9 p.m. Dec. 31
This indoor/outdoor rum and cigar bar will be amongst the best places to catch the fireworks. Located near the Mirage’s volcano, Rhumbar will have fiery dancers, live music and an unlimited bar package featuring premium cocktails, win and beer from 9 p.m.-1.m. for $125 per person. VIP packages are also available for $225 a person.

Island Bar

Hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash takes over the Island Bar with a free performance on the eve of his birthday.

PBR Rock Bar
Where: Planet Hollywood

Enjoy a buffet-style spread from 8-11 p.m. priced at $30 per person, then head to the open bar from 9 p.m.-midnight for $200 person. The outdoor patio at PBR Rock Bar will be an ideal destination to catch the fireworks show and the 115 TVs inside will help you keep tabs on the NYE parties around the world.

Mandalay Block Party

The Block Party will feature catering stations along restaurant row with food from Border Grill and rm Seafood, also beverage sponsors will be on hand offering specialty drinks. The “Block Party Pass,’ guarantees entrance into Mandalay Beach where FOX will be filming “New Year’s Eve Live.” The advance price for the pass is $50 per person and will increase to $75 on Dec. 31. The pass includes five drinks per pass holder.

2011 Bridge Bash

When: 9 p.m. Dec. 31
Party the night away on the Brooklyn Bridge, or at least a close facsimile of it. Priced at $135 per person (plus tax and gratuity) guests can indulge in a premium open bar, while listing to the beats of DJ Chris Landry and watching some lovely go-go dancers from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

The Bars at The Venetian and The Palazzo

Grab a drink at Fusion Mixology Bar, Laguna Champagne Bar, Salute Lounge, Oculus or La Scena for an open bar with well drinks, sparkling wine and domestic beer for $100 per person.

Located on the 23rd floor of The Palazzo, guest can take in a prime view of the Strip fireworks and enjoy an open bar from 10:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. with appetizers and desserts. A live band will play Top 40 music. Tickets are $128.10 and tables start at $700.

Lagasse’s Stadium

The New Year’s Eve Ball 2011 takes over Lagasse’s with tickets starting at $95 per person. It will feature a six-hour, top-shelf open bar, VIP table service, private rooms and DJ-spun music.

V Bar Ultra Lounge

When: 8 p.m. Dec. 31
V Bar counts down the New Year with a special guest video DJ and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $50 per person.

Level 103 & 104
Where:
Stratosphere
When: 9 p.m. Dec. 31
Two parties in one with two vibes for everyone. Level 104 is the laid-back party with a contemporary DJ, three full bars and some light eats. Level 103 will feature an ’80s-style party with DJ-spun music, go-go dancers and a sky-high view of the fireworks. Tickets are $275 for one or $250 when purchasing two or more.

Level 107 Lounge

The jazz sounds of Afterglow will bring in the New Year in a romantic setting. You’ll be treated to party favors and an unparalleled view of the fireworks show. Tickets are $129.

Level 108

Located 805 feet above the Strip, Level 108 offers a 360-degree view of the city and will have DJs on hand along with go-go dancers. Guests can enjoy a four-hour premium open bar along with a number of foods. Tickets are $199 per person.

Brand Steakhouse and Lounge

When: Restaurant 5 p.m., lounge at 9 p.m. Dec. 31
Step on the red carpet at Brand where professional papparazzi will capture your arrival. A four-course meal is available for your dinning pleasure for $100 per person and a champagne toast at midnight. After your meal, step over to the lounge where $50 will get you VIP entrance and a hosted bar from 9-11 p.m.

Diablo’s Cantina

The final fiesta of 2010 goes down at Diablo’s with DJ-spun music and a tequila toast at midnight. VIP admission is $50 per person.

Krave Nightclub

Mandarin Bar
