My friend M. Foster would make fun of me for staying at the Sahara. I told him, why do you need to spend $100′s of dollars on a room, when all you need is a place to crash. Sahara was great cause it was affordable, comfortable, and had it all. The $1 black jack tables, the Bad Ass Burrito focused on Man Vs Food in the Nascar Cafe. The Big black and white pictures of Elvis took me back in time. It was home away from home. The more you can save on the room meant the more you can spend on entertainment.

It beats Circus Circus any day. Nascar Cafe is totally cool. The Sahara Buffet though, not so great.

The Sahara has been gone a long time now. The whole place turned into a real dump over the past couple years. Nazarian needs to put $100 Million into, or sell it to someone who will. Nazarian is a nightclub owner making tons of cash, and won’t put any of it into The Sahara. What a shame. All the Sahahra employees losing their jobs too. Another iconic Las Vegas Hotel/Casino/Landmark that’s just going to collect dust.
