Construction continues on Treasure Islands Hotel & Casino’s new shopping complex resulting in a temporary closure of the sidewalk on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road. To go north on the Strip, you will need to go inside Treasure Island Hotel & Casino and use the pedestrian overpass that connects with the sidewalks around the Fashion Show Mall or cross to the opposite side of Las Vegas Boulevard.
The lagoon has been flooded with water again, but the Treasure Island ships are now stationary and there is no longer the Sirens of TI show.
The construction is all to support a new shopping complex at the resort’s northeast corner with a frontage that will run along Las Vegas Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road. Spanning three stories and about 48,000 square feet, few elements of this project have yet to be announced. The only tenant disclosed so far is CVS, a leading pharmacy and drug store chain. The opening date is targeted for fall 2014.
