Labor Day weekend in Las Vegas kicks off in a delicious way on Aug. 30 when California yogurt phenomenon Pinkberry opens its first Las Vegas shop in Crystals at CityCenter.

To celebrate the store is offering three hours of free yogurt from 5 – 8 p.m. (limit of one small Pinkberry yogurt with toppings per person).

Pinkberry has 200 stores worldwide and is known for its tart-flavored yogurts that aren’t overly sweet. Their unique flavor earned them scores of fans in Los Angeles, where 1,500 folks a day would queue in 30-minute lines at the first store.

Pinkberry combines its yogurt with daily fresh-cut fruit and premium toppings. Pinkberry flavors include green tea, pomegranate, mango, watermelon, chocolate, peanut butter, original and more. Toppings consist of a multitude of fruit options like kiwi, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, mango, pineapple and others. Plus, Pinkberry offers seasonal selections like Bing cherries and lychee. For the chocolate lover, there are also plenty of choices including shaved milk and white chocolate.

For the health-conscious, Pinkberry’s small yogurts without toppings average between 140 (original) and 240 calories (peanut butter). And there are kosher options.

In addition to enjoying Pinkberry’s yogurt at Crystals mall, the store offers delivery and catering services as well.

I'm one of a rare breed of folks, a native Las Vegan. That's Las Vegan, not Vegan. Being born in Las Vegas has endowed me with crazy Vegas skills - must be all the exposure to neon. I'm a human casino GPS, celebrity locator (You never know who you'll meet in a casino elevator, right Richard Branson?) and tip calculator. My mom taught me probability and statistics with decommissioned casino dice. When I walk through a hotel, tourists think I work there. Maybe it's my smile, my purposeful walk or my friendly answers. Maybe it's just the black suit. But whatever the reason, Vegas.com gives me the chance to exercise my Vegas super powers every day. Now if I could just predict when Megabucks would hit... You can find me on Google+ and Twitter.
