You’ve partied at a nightclub, dined on lobster, hailed a taxi to the airport and just caught your plane — and then it hits you — you forgot to get souvenirs.

They aren’t necessary, but souvenirs are usually the best way to let someone know:
A. You love them.
B. You didn’t forget them, even when you were poolside next to a Kardashian.
C. You were in Vegas, and they weren’t.

But let’s face it — most souvenirs are useless and collect dust. Enter edible souvenirs. Give your friends something they can truly enjoy. A chocolate shoe or five-pound gummy bear is way more exciting then Aunt Sarah’s token palm tree refrigerator magnet.

The chocolate shoe at Jean Philippe Pâtisserie ($48) comes with chocolate truffles.

Here are a few edible souvenirs — packaged and ready to go.

If the shoe fits

Available at Jean Philippe Pâtisserie in the Bellagio

Shoes have always been a noteworthy subject of style. In fashion, it can make or break an outfit. In society, you can tell a lot about a lady based on her shoes. In food, it’s simply delicious.

At Jean Philippe Pâtisserie, you will literally want to eat your shoe. Executive Pastry Chef Claude Escamilla of Jean Philippe Pâtisserie says the shoes, made from white chocolate, have been very popular with visitors, especially since they are filled with Jean Philippe’s signature chocolate truffles.

“[The shoes] are very feminine and fashionable,” says Escamilla. “We can change colors and styles of the shoe at any time.”

The team at Jean Philippe can make the shoes as personal as you’d like. Escamilla says they can take special orders with at least three days notice. They can also create holiday and seasonal themes.
The shoes feature gorgeous designs and are filled with assorted chocolate truffles, making them a delicious souvenir.

Though you could buy an actual pair of shoes for the price, the chocolate shoe retails for $48 — this is perfect for chocolate lovers.

Gambling on gum

Available at Bonanza Gifts, World’s Largest Gift Shop

2440 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
Las Vegas, NV 89104

You’ve hit the jackpot — only instead of clanking coins, this slot machine dispenses balls of hard bubble gum. Perhaps not quite the jackpot Uncle Larry was looking for, but it’s a pretty good Vegas takeaway.
Pint-sized slot machines are filled with bubble gum and have three reels with a handle. When you pull on the handle, the machine dispenses a piece of gum.

“It’s a great idea. [It] looks like Vegas and it’s very affordable,” says Barbara Wiley, a visitor and souvenir shopper from Florida.

A brilliant way to share the wealth, this gum dispenser is moderately priced at just $1.99.

This won’t hurt a bit

The chocolate syringe

Available at Max Brenner in the Forum Shops at Caesars

A syringe that won’t make you cringe? Not unless you’re allergic to chocolate.

The chocolate syringe at Max Brenner isn’t filled with medicine, although some say rich chocolate ganache does, indeed, have healing power. These portable plastic syringes are filled with the chocolate ganache and have a plastic spout for injecting. You can squirt it into your mouth to get a dose of creamy chocolate.

The chocolate syringe is packaged in clear cellophane and a bow and is $7.

The great gondola

Available in-room at Venetian Las Vegas and at GG Santi Venetzia in the Grand Canal Shoppes

A Venetian gondola ($45) is a romantic souvenir. It's also delicious.

A Venetian gondola ($45) is a romantic souvenir. It's also delicious.

The Venetian is known for the extravagant canal winding through the shops where gondoliers sing opera and paddle past Swarovski. Unfortunately, taking a gondola back to Boise isn’t really practical — until now.
This gondola is five inches long and made of chocolate. The confection isn’t filled with people — it’s filled with truffles.

Available at GG Santi Venetzia in the Grand Canal Shoppes or in your hotel room when you stay at the Venetian or Palazzo, this treat is sure to keep the Venetian in your heart (and eventually in your stomach) as you head home. The chocolate gondola can be yours for $45.

Jackpot

The chocolate slot machine and poker chips

Available at Bonanza Gifts, World’s Largest Gift Shop

2440 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
Las Vegas, NV 89104

A slot machine isn’t always a practical option for plane rides, but an edible one is. Made entirely of chocolate, this slot machine won’t make you any richer, but it will satiate your sweet tooth.

The slot machine comes with three poker chips (also in chocolate) and is $14.99. If you need additional poker chips, you can get a stack of gold coins and $500 chips (well, they are also in chocolate) for $15.99.

Giant gummy

Available at Sugar Factory Brasserie in Paris Las Vegas

“Vegas is all about the glitz, the glam and indulging the senses in an over-the-top way. There’s nothing like it and that’s exactly the kind of experience people are looking for in Las Vegas,” says Abel Horner, director of merchandising for the Sugar Factory.

Horner is right; there is nothing else like the five-pound gummy bear, available at the Sugar Factory retail store in Paris Las Vegas.

“It is just a one-of-a-kind novelty item that is a favorite of everyone,” says Horner.

The giant gummy comes in three flavors: blue raspberry, cherry and orange.

These treats will leave your loved ones satiated and you looking like a hero. In fact, these souvenirs are so tasty, while you’re picking up your edible souvenirs, you might want to do a little shopping yourself.
