The region’s finest competitive eaters will hustle their buns to stuff their faces with weenies during the 16th annual qualifying hot dog eating contest on Saturday, April 20 at New York-New York’s Brooklyn Bridge in Las Vegas.
He or she who best stomachs the competition will not only be crowned the Nevada Hot Dog Eating Champion but will also earn the right to compete in the coveted 98th annual Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest, which takes place during National Hot Dog Month in the real Coney Island, NY.
A special employee contest starts at 1 p.m. and a heroes contest featuring military personnel and first responders will take place at 2:30 p.m. The qualifying contest starts at 3 p.m.
It is free to watch the competitors go head to head — or hot dog to hot dog — plus, you can stock up on Nathan’s Hot Dogs at the Coney Island Pavilion in the New York-New York hotel to practice for next year’s contest.
