Dos-Caminos-Food-#01

Mexican food is everywhere these days, and Vegas is no exception.  Whether you like enchiladas, tacos or churros, there’s a Mexican bar/restaurant nearby. As for drinks, many places serve the highest grades of tequila such as “reposado” and “añejo.”

Among noteworthy recent resaturant openings are Cabo Wabo and Hussong’s Cantina.

Cabo Wabo is in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, where you can drink from a 100-ounce cup shaped like a guitar (the restaurant’s owner is rocker Sammy Hagar). There’s a patio and live music on occasion.

Hussong’s Cantina, located in Mandalay Place, hosts a mariachi group three nights a week and Baja-style food.

Among the more established Mexican bar/restaurants are the following:

T & T Tacos & Tequila at the Luxor is a high-energy place with rock music and modern versions of traditional dishes.

Border Grill at Mandalay Bay serves high-end Mexican dishes made with  Kobe beef.

Diablo’s Cantina at the Monte Carlo offers Tex-Mex food and a street level view of the Strip.

Diego at the MGM Grand has a DJ spinning records on Fridays and Saturdays.

Dos Caminos at Palazzo also has a live DJ.

Yolo’s at Planet Hollywood is a full-fledged restaurant with a nice bar and DJ on weekends. And it’s just off the casino floor.
