It’s no secret celebrity Chef Charlie Palmer makes wine a big feature in his restaurants. Anyone who’s been in Aureole, his Las Vegas restaurant in Mandalay Bay, can tell you that. Aureole contains a massive three-story wine tower in the middle of the restaurant, complete with flying wine angels and a sommelier to help you select the perfect pairing with your food.
This weekend, Mandalay Bay hosts the third annual Aureole Las Vegas Wine Weekend. Events kick off Friday, Aug. 5 at 2 p.m. with a welcome reception and interactive blind tasting. Guests will taste eight wines and be challenged to identify each. This event will feature Aureole Master Sommelier William Sherer as well as winemaker Rob Mondavi.
Weekend highlights include a seafood and shellfish wine dinner on Friday night, a Mexican ranchero breakfast Saturday morning and a Swiss fondue party for lunch on Sunday. In addition to seated meals, attendees get the opportunity to join in with interactive experiences such as the blind tasting and the Mexican ranchero breakfast.
The Aureole Las Vegas Wine Weekend is sure to be full of special culinary experiences. If you are in Vegas this weekend, you can get passes for one event, or the whole weekend.
